Did you know that 15 teams in 4-way Women would be a record number? posted: Apr 13th, 2026 The highly convincing, gold-medal performance of China’s 4-way Women team from Hubei came as little surprise—neither to the other twelve teams on the leaderboard nor to experts and spectators. The same team had already won the 4-way Women competition at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024 and the FAI Indoor World Championship 2025.
A more unexpected result came from China’s second 4-way Women team, which raised its meet average from 23.3 in 2024 to 25.8 last week, securing the bronze medal and a second podium finish for China. Only the French Nephtys managed to separate the two Chinese teams... (more)
Did you know that Aethers and Golden Knights switch quickly to outdoor competition? posted: Apr 12th, 2026 The Aethers provided the exceptionally solid foundation for the double-gold success at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026, as the NSL News pointed out yesterday. However, they still needed a second half for their French 8-way team that could match their flying and competitive standards. Nephtys rose to that challenge and helped secure the second set of gold medals for the French delegation at Weembi Lille.
Original Arizona Airspeed member Kirk Verner reminded the NSL News of an earlier instance where a 4-way team also won an FAI/ISC event in 8-way. His original Airspeed lineup achieved the same double-gold... (more)
Did you know that Aethers (almost) matched Mathieu Bernier's double gold at Weembi? posted: Apr 12th, 2026 The NSL News reported on April 10th that French national coach Mathieu Bernier “could be on the verge of writing the next historic chapter in formation skydiving competition.” By that point, six rounds had been completed in all events, and his teams—Aethers (4-way Open), Nephtys (4-way Women), and AethersNephtys (8-way Open)—were either leading (Aethers, 8-way) or in strong contention for first place (Nephtys).
China once again proved too strong in 4-way Women, capturing both gold and bronze with their two teams. Meanwhile, Aethers and the French 8-way combination of the two national... (more)
Did you know that Indonesia surprises in 4-way Open? posted: Apr 10th, 2026 The 4-way teams returned to action for the remainder of Friday, and all formation skydiving events had completed six rounds by the end of the day. Aethers and Nephtys transitioned seamlessly back from 8-way to 4-way, with the 4-way Open Class leaders extending their advantage by another three points over the rest of the field. Did you know that Mathieu Bernier could be on the verge of writing the next historic chapter in formation skydiving? posted: Apr 10th, 2026 Six rounds of 8-way competition and 4-way VFS followed the opening two 4-way rounds on Friday morning in France. The 4-way teams will take over the afternoon session again and are expected to complete at least four additional rounds.
The battle for 8-way medals has narrowed from four teams down to three, as the French team Nova was unable to keep pace with the two home squads—Aethers Nephtys and D'Arc8—nor with the reigning indoor and outdoor world champions from the United States, Paraclete XP8. After Round 6, Nova trails by 49 points from the leader and 29 points from the bronze medal... (more)

The competition has already proven to be as exciting as expected in both categories—except, perhaps, for the very top position. The Aethers are fully living up to the high expectations of spectators, opponents, coaches, and experts alike. The French national team won both opening rounds with the highest scores and has already established a four-point lead over the Golden Knights.
