News Article Did you know that Gary Smith praises NMP PCH HayaBusa members?
posted: Feb 9th, 2026 The previous NSL Live Talk with NMP PCH HayaBusa coach Gary Smith was published as part of the Wind Games update on January 28th. At the time, Smith was already in Empuriabrava, Spain, preparing to guide the Belgian 4-way team toward a second-place finish behind the French Aethers. He shared his final insights ahead of Round 1, which ultimately finalized the NSL Power Rankings in the last preview before the competition. In addition, Smith assisted Pete Allum, who was unavailable to work with the Swiss 4-way Women’s team Airdrops, which he normally coaches. Smith’s primary focus, however,... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Czech Skywalkers Most were back in ICL January action?
posted: Feb 9th, 2026 Jan Klapka's Indoor Cloud League team at the Hurricane Factory in Prague responded quickly to the last-minute loss of the 2025 competition. Kyle Hermberg's team at iFLY Dallas had taken first place in the ICL 2025 season from the Hurricane Factory in December, as the NSL News reported on January 11th. The December competition of the Indoor Cloud League 2025 season was the only one that Skywalkers Most did not attend last year. The young Czech national 4-way Open Class team competed for the Hurricane Factory from January through November, winning both open-class sequences (AAA/AA) and contributing... (more)
News Article Did you know that Jeana Billings, Jennifer Davidson, and Doug Barron master double duties with ease?
posted: Feb 5th, 2026 NSL News reported on January 21 that SDC Rhythm XP member Doug Barron committed to double duties in both 4-way and 8-way competition for 2026. This commitment is hardly surprising, as the entire Rhythm lineup trained and competed in 8-way throughout 2025. At the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025, SDC Rhythm XP finished fourth in 4-way, while the 8-way team Prison 9—featuring all five Rhythm members—earned a second-place finish. Performing double duties at FAI/ISC competitions is considerably more demanding than at USPA Nationals or training camps, where events are scheduled separately and follow... (more)
News Article Did you know that XP4 unveils a new 4-way Women lineup?
posted: Feb 4th, 2026 The NSL News update on January 30th was part of the Wind Games 2026 coverage, but it also included a competition that had taken place two weeks earlier: the Air World Championships 2026 at CLYMB Abu Dhabi. Jeana Billings and Kirk Verner mentioned the event during their recent NSL Live Talk conversation. Both competed in the 8-way event with Paraclete XP8, while Jeana Billings also flew in the 4-way event for XP4. The XP4 lineup was essentially a pickup team, made up of XP8 members along with Laura Galdamez, who happened to be in Abu Dhabi for the 16-way competition. The all-female team enjoyed... (more)
News Article Did you know that Michelle Karamon completed 19 rounds at the Wind Games?
posted: Feb 3rd, 2026 The three U.S. teams at the Wind Games 2026 all made the Top 10 with impressive performances. The lowest finishing position was Tunnel Vision's 6th place, behind Golden Knights in 3rd and Arizona Airspeed in 5th. Tunnel Vision and Arizona Airspeed were expected to be close to each other, even though the final NSL Power Rankings before Round 10 placed Tunnel Vision in its own league, between the three top teams and the group of challengers. However, the competition unfolded in unexpected ways. Both U.S. teams went neck and neck throughout nine rounds and faced off in their own tie-breaker... (more)
News Article Did you know that Jeana Billings and Kirk Verner share their recent world travel and XP8 story?
posted: Feb 3rd, 2026 This week is an exceptionally busy one at Paraclete XP, where indoor winter training and preparations for the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2026 at the end of the month are in full swing. An extraordinary group of teams and competitors is currently training at the only wind tunnel in the United States with a 16-foot flying chamber. To capture as much coverage and insight as possible, the NSL News scheduled a field trip to the facility. Gary Smith, head coach of NMP PCH HayaBusa, had little time for a visit to his home on the island of Texel in the Netherlands. Instead, he continued his... (more)
