News Article Did you know that the Weembinamic 2025 produced new and unusual results?
posted: Nov 26th, 2025 The annual Weembinamic indoor competition at Weembi Lille—host of the upcoming FAI Indoor World Cup in April 2026—once again delivered unusual and unexpected results. The event’s creator, Julien Degen, former French 4-way and 8-way world champion in traditional formation skydiving, introduced this alternative competition format years ago, and it has since become particularly popular in the 8-way community. The format uses the standard FAI/ISC dive pool, but all teams first complete four rounds to establish an initial leaderboard. This ranking then determines the match-ups for three sets... (more)
News Article Did you know that the CISM teams behind NMP PCH HayaBusa have moved closer to each other?
posted: Nov 24th, 2025 The first NSL News update of the military CISM World Championship 2025 on November 19thmentioned that there was still the potential of a battle for medals, even though NMP PCH HayaBusa did not not have any serious opposition any longer without the participation of Golden Knights and Qatar Tigers. Three rounds were almost completed at that point in time, and the Belgians were 19 points ahead of Germany in 2nd place. The German Bundeswehr 4-way team were only three points ahead of Turkiye (76 - 73), and the Czech team did not have a score for Round 3. Spain's national team in 4-way Open, Papea,... (more)
News Article Did you know that Norway's Thyra continue with the youngest 4-way Women lineup in history?
posted: Nov 20th, 2025 The NSL News reported the next and recent reunion of the three Norgies members Carl-Erik Tuv, Pål Kolbenstvedt and Torstein Valen with the update on November 12th. The story mentioned that Carl-Erik Tuv's daughter Christiane Wilhelmine Sørfjord Tuv has been training and competing with her 4-way Women team Thyra. The Norwegian national team in 4-way Women, European bronze medal winners at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023 and silver medalists at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2025, are not yet at the level where Carl-Erik Tuv was and still is with the Norgies. However, father and daughter both keep... (more)
News Article Did you know that there is still a battle for medals in Qatar?
posted: Nov 19th, 2025 The absence of Golden Knights and a Qatar home team has turned the military CISM World Championship into a walk in the park for NMP PCH HayaBusa, as the NSL News reported on November 17th. The Belgian team with the new CISM lineup were hoping for a battle situation with their expected strong opponents from the United States and Qatar. Instead they are 19 points ahead after three rounds, compared to the 4-point win after ten rounds last year. There is no doubt that NMP PCH HayaBusa will win their 17th consecutive set of CISM gold medals, this time with all-time member David Grauwels on camera... (more)
News Article Did you know that Inertia started with 4-way competition in February 2000?
posted: Nov 18th, 2025 Several teams behind the medal contenders on the 4-way Open Class leaderboard of the USPA Nationals 2025 had former world champions or other world-class competitors as player-coaches in their lineups, although the three OG's (Jack Jefferies, Kirk Verner, Dan BC) probably did not have much current technical advice for Jeana Billings, herself a reigning 4-way Women and 8-way world champion. The NSL News also mentioned Josh Hall of Elsinore Elevate earlier, Arizona Airspeed world champion of 2012, and the Double D's of Double Trouble with Brenn Richards and Keith Conner. Robert Compton of Rhetirement... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights are missing the CISM World Championship?
posted: Nov 17th, 2025 The military CISM World Championship 2024 was a thriller, when it featured four of the best 4-way teams in the world. NMP PCH HayaBusa eventually won by four points over the Golden Knights in Hungary (267 - 263). David Grauwels, consecutive 16-time CISM world champion for Belgium since 2007, had to be ordered back into the active lineup for the event, after switching to the camera slot when new member Ray Lodens joined the team. The Qatar Tigers, with their new coach Andy Grauwels, were not only within striking distance last year. They won two of the eight rounds, even though they ended up... (more)
