News Article Did you know that Thomas Hughes explained the situation before the judging of Round 10?
posted: Nov 1st, 2011 Here is a quick update from the USPA Nationals 2011 after Round 10 in the 4way Open Class competition. It has become complicated and extremely exciting on the top of the leaderboard. Arizona Airspeed is the winner, of course, but everything else is open. It began already after Round 9 when SDC Rhythm XP lost the 2nd place to the Golden Knights and Perris Fury caught up, as well. Round 10 has a very fast sequence too, which offers the potential to change everything around again in the battle for the silver and bronze medals. The Golden Knights had a decent Round 10, as Kurt Isenbarger said. Rob... (more)
News Article Did you know that Solly Williams welcomes the NSL News audience on Tuesday morning?
posted: Nov 1st, 2011 The NSL News welcomes the audience back to the USPA Nationals 2011 on Tuesday morning with a greeting from Solly Williams who provided a short summary of the first event day. His Qatar Tigers are currently in 1st place of the Advanced Class competition as a guest team. Spaceland Lite is the best US team so far in 3rd place and the USPA gold medal position. Solly Williams mentioned that the competition draw is not on the fast side. The last three rounds will increase the averages after a slower first day of the meet where even Arizona Airspeed missed the 20-point scoring level in two rounds. Solly... (more)
News Article Did you know that NMP-PCH Hayabusa responded from Belgium?
posted: Oct 31st, 2011 The first day of the USPA Nationals 2011 is over, and seven rounds are in the bag. SDC Rhythm XP is the Team of the Day, and Arizona Airspeed is the leader. Rhythm was not expected to be in 2nd place, while Airspeed is doing what needed to get done. The Arizona team is as far ahead as the Airspeed fans hoped for to make a point as of the Dubai issue. Rhythm is the new generation of 4way competitors who begin to challenge the established teams very seriously. The competition is even tighter in the Advanced Class and in the Intermediate Class. There is no team that dominates the competition and... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Advanced Class leaderboard is difficult to read?
posted: Oct 31st, 2011 The scores of Round 5 changed the situation in the Open Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2011. Perris Fury, Paraclete XP4 and Golden Knights Gold broke their earlier ties and have separated from each other. Perris Fury tied Arizona Airspeed's highscore for the round and moved two points closer to SDC Rhythm XP. The meet is far from over as of the race for the silver and bronze medals. In fact, it has probably just begun... The NSL News took a closer look at the Advanced Class leaderboard, which requires special attention to understand the rankings. Several guest teams are not eligible... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights have an additional internal battle?
posted: Oct 31st, 2011 It is quite an upset so far. SDC Rhythm XP does not only hold the silver medal position, there is now a 4-point safety cushion between Rhythm and the three other top contenders who are all tied in 3rd place. It is the expected race, just in a different order so far. Round 4 is almost completely judged, and the scores will be added very soon. The sequence of Round 3 was obviously also slower than expected. Arizona Airspeed made it to the 20th point within working time but had to give one back. The Furies have recovered after a very nervous start. They had the chance to catch up with Supersonic... (more)
News Article Did you know that underdog SDC Rhythm XP stands strongly after two rounds?
posted: Oct 31st, 2011 The competition is in full swing, and the leaderboard after Round 2 looks as it was expected - with one exception. SDC Rhythm XP took the 2nd place in Round 1 and defended it successfully in Round 2. Rhythm's confidence will probably only get stronger, and an upset by the underdog is in the works. The sequence of Round 2 (21,14,22) was slower than most teams expected it to be, as the previous NSL Reality TV clip showed. No team, not even Arizona Airspeed, managed to get to the 20-pointer level. Airspeed's 19-pointer was the highscore for the round. Round 7 brings another 3-block sequence, which... (more)
