News Article Did you know that Part 2 of the Slow Sequences features 2009 - 2010 events?
posted: Oct 27th, 2011 The first part of the special NSL-TV feature of the slowest sequences between 2002 and 2011 has enjoyed great interest by the audience, and the second part has now been uploaded. Original plan was to cover it all in only two parts, which turned out to be too much and too long. The second part now covers the 2009 and 2010 season, and the third part with the 2011 season will conclude the story. The NSL News will also follow up with additional features. XL and Sinapsi member, veteran coach Pete Allum suggested a vote for the slowest sequence that the current dive pool could generate. After the... (more)
News Article Did you know that two MASL teams are making plans for the 2012 season?
posted: Oct 26th, 2011 The second part of the video with the slow sequences and the review of the competition draws between 2009 and 2011 had to wait for another day since the last scoring update from the MidAtlantic Skydiving League came in from Cross Keys. MASL Director Dennis Miller reported that two teams competed in the AA and A Class and that a third lineup fell short by one team member even though new MASL videographer Matt Vasipollo was eagerly waiting to fly the camera slot again. The three other candidates for a third team couldn't find that elusive fourth to make it happen. Air Pollution and Teiwaz member... (more)
News Article Did you know that NSL-TV features the slowest sequences of the top teams in 4way history?
posted: Oct 25th, 2011 NSL-TV has uploaded a special treat for the 4way fans after digging deep in the archives. Videos of world record sequences in the past have made it to the NSL-TV channel on YouTube, and several NSL News stories have covered indirectly the slowest sequences of any meets. Those slow sequences usually decide whether the top teams can get to the 20-pointer level for all rounds of a meet, to only 21-pointers and higher, or even to 22-pointers, as Aerodyne Aerokart did it recently for the first time at the World Cup 2011. The NSL News took a closer look at the record meets, compared the sequences... (more)
News Article Did you know that USPA responded to Airspeed's Dubai issue?
posted: Oct 24th, 2011 Yesterday's NSL News story covered the situation on the top of the 4way world after the World Cup 2011, which was published in the October/November issue of the Blue Skies Mag. The story also included another brief preview of the Dubai Championship in December and Arizona Airspeed's experiences with this event related to the USPA decision of not sanctioning the arguably best US team as the official national team. Blue Skies Mag also published two letters in the same issue that were only related to Airspeed and Dubai. The first one explained the situation from the Airspeed perspective, the second... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airspeed shakes up the 4way world without posting scores?
posted: Oct 23rd, 2011 The NSL News contribution for the latest issue of the Blue Skies Mag (October/November) was mostly another evaluation of the 4way situation on the very top of the world after the results at the World Cup 2011. The NSL News did this a few times in 2011, as the major 4way events created different scenarios every single time after new scores were posted. It has been a very exciting competition season so far, and it is far from over. Arizona Airspeed's situation was once again a big part of the story, as the world class team missed the World Cup in Germany and will miss the Dubai Championship... (more)
News Article Did you know that Skygod Skygodsson attended the 1st Annual Blocktoberfest?
posted: Oct 22nd, 2011 The hot and gruesome summer in Florida seems to be over, and the first beautiful days of the autumn motivated the skydiving industry neighbourhood near the NSL office to organize the 1st Annual Blocktoberfest. The small business plaza near the DeLand Airport and Skydive DeLand accommodates several smaller and larger businesses of the skydiving industry. Blue Skies Mag is one next door neighbour of the National Skydiving League office, and Merlin Suits is on the other side. The next entrance is to the office of John Sherman's and Nancy LaRiviere's Jumpshack. Nancy LaRiviere was more or less the... (more)
