Did you know that the NSL News introduces the female lineup of the Golden Knights? posted: Nov 3rd, 2011 The last round of the 8way competition is in full swing, and the 16way teams are getting ready. The 8way competition in the Open Class does not offer too much excitement any longer. The Golden Knights are in the same position as Arizona Airspeed was in 4way Open, which was expected, of course. Airspeed's 8way lineup is getting closer to the Russian Sky Panthers Barkli without the greatest chances to still catch them. Paraclete XP8 sits safely in the USPA bronze medal position.
Perris Moxie and the Amphibious Attack Tigers have been battling throughout the whole meet, and the Perris ladies have... (more)
Did you know that NSL-TV features SDC Rhythm XP on Skydive-TV.com? posted: Nov 2nd, 2011 The previous NSL Reality TV clip also included a brief NSL Talk with Jon Arnold, Four Shizzle member of the Northern Plains Skydiving League. Two NPSL (Four Shizzle, Fourcast) teams finished in the Top 10 of the 30-team field in the AA/Intermediate Class competition. Four Shizzle was even in contention for medal positions and missed the 3rd place by three points. The NSL News will follow up soon.
SDC Rhythm XP has not only caught the attention of the NSL News on a regular basis. Skydive-TV.com featured the team in one of the many event online stories and shows after Round 2 on Monday. Rhythm... (more)
Did you know that all original Mass Defiance members witnessed the next 19.3 challenge? posted: Nov 2nd, 2011 Arizona Airspeed's 8way lineup is keeping up quite well with Sky Panthers Barkli, 8way bronze medalist at the World Cup 2011. This year's lineup had no training at all. There is usually half a day at USPA Nationals with time enough for a few warmup jumps after the 4way competition is over. Not so this year when the 8way competition began right after the last round in 4way.
It is even more challenging this year since Mark Kirkby cannot jump today, he came down with a bad stomach last night, and alternate Christopher Irwin has filled his slot. Thomas Hughes would actually need a break, as well.... (more)
Did you know that Eric Heinsheimer still owns the 8way world records from 1997? posted: Nov 2nd, 2011 The scores for Round 3 in the 8way Open Class have been posted, and the Golden Knights extended the lead over Sky Panthers Barkli to six points.
Yesterday's first two rounds were not the greatest start for the 8way lineup of the Golden Knights after a silver medal in 4way and an impressive performance by the female lineup. Round 1 had a potential world record sequence, and a serious flaw did not let the Golden Knights get even close to the needed 32-pointer.
It did not get much better in Round 2 when the guests from Russia outscored the US Army team by a point (24 - 23). It was the first... (more)
Did you know that the original lineup pulled in members of all Airspeed generations at the end of the day? posted: Nov 1st, 2011 The NSL News mentioned earlier that the 4way event was not even over when the Open Class teams had made peace with each other after an incredible battle for the silver and bronze medals. Both other competition classes needed a jumpoff round to split the tie for the second place in the Advanced Class and for the 1st place in the Intermediate Class.
The last NSL Reality TV clip features the live judging of Round 10 in the Open Class and the reaction of the audience. It is always an exciting atmosphere, and in this case the stakes were really high.
Shortly afterwards things settled down, even... (more)
Did you know that the 4way meets ended after drama and jumpoffs? posted: Nov 1st, 2011 What a different day it was for SDC Rhythm XP. It was painful to watch how the 4way veterans of the Golden Knights and Perris Fury took brutally advantage of the nervous young team who did not really know what the second day of the competition would bring to them.
There would be pressure, a lot of it, and no doubt about it. Rhythm had never been in a situation like that. Everything went almost perfectly on Monday, it was almost too good to be true. Maybe it was. Fact is that something happened after Round 8 that will get a lot of Rhythm's attention in the aftermath.
It was not only Rhythm... (more)
