Did you know that the Golden Knights delegation maintains the Formation Skydiving power position? posted: Sep 19th, 2013 There were times when Arizona Airspeed won all four traditional Formation Skydiving events (4 - 8 - 10 - 16) at the USPA Nationals. It happened the last time in 2008. A year later, the Golden Knights took away the 10-way title, which was the beginning of a major power shift.
Airspeed still won the other three events (4 - 8 - 16) in 2009 and bronze in 10way. However, the Golden Knights were on their way to take over the dominating position at the USPA Nationals.
The 8way lineup of the US Army then won the USPA Nationals 2010, which became the foundation of the upcoming power shift. Airspeed... (more)
Did you know that host and VFS 4way expert Rook Nelson steps in for Andy Delk in 8way? posted: Sep 17th, 2013 This morning's visit of the Sun Path Products NSL News at the Golden Knights headquarters was followed by a few rounds of 8way competition before another weather hold interrupted the competition at the USPA Nationals 2013.
The weather situation improved again, and another round of 8way competition was completed before Andy Delk, former Arizona Airspeed member and currently competing for Paraclete XP8, had to leave to make it to the airport in time. The weather delays caused the meet to be slower than expected, and XP8 had to call in their alternate.

Did you know that the Golden Knights are alone in their own pursuit of excellence? posted: Sep 17th, 2013 Paraclete XP8 has a very strong lineup this year, as the Sun Path Products NSL News explained a few times earlier. However, there is a reason why Arizona Airspeed has generated world champions after world champions for many years. They know that a competition is only over after ten rounds, or perhaps eleven.
Round 5 brought hope back to the Airspeed fans and may change the momentum of the competition. It seems as if the weather may support the completion of the 8way competition today, and this is what Airspeed was hoping for. The first round this morning reduced XP8's 4-point lead to two points,... (more)
Did you know that the Paraclete-Airspeed 8way duel continues on NSL-TV? posted: Sep 17th, 2013 The situation did not change for Arizona Airspeed in the 8way competition at the USPA Nationals 2013. In fact, Paraclete XP8 added two points to the lead after Round 4.
Nothing has happened this morning so far, as the teams have been on a weather hold. A new call to the jump planes came at 9:45 am, and Airspeed has to hope that the weather improves to complete more rounds. Links to most of the 8way videos of the Top 3 teams have been added to the extended leaderboard, where three rounds of the Golden Knights were available ealier.

Did you know that Arizona Airspeed is under Paraclete pressure in 8way? posted: Sep 16th, 2013 Arizona Airspeed's new lineup missed the 20-pointer club membership with the 19-pointer in Round 9, and all team members are now focusing on the 8way competition.
The Golden Knights are out of reach for Airspeed and Paraclete XP8 both. However, the traditional duel between those two 8way lineups is just as exciting as it would be for the gold medals. It could be even more exciting than ever before, as XP8 has a very strong lineup this year.

Did you know that both Excalibur swords are currently at Skydive Chicago? posted: Sep 16th, 2013 Arizona Airspeed's new lineup survived the 3-block sequence in Round 8 with a 20-pointer, and the judging for Round 8 is in progress. In the meantime, the 8way teams have received their competition draw and went straight to work.
Once again, there is also a jump-off in the AA/Intermediate Class competition. That's no surprise, as tight as the leaderboard has been. Two local MWSL teams (SDC Jetstream Tango, CSC Survival Instinct) were in the race for the medals, but only Jetstream Tango made it to the jump-off round by one single point.
