News Article Did you know that Leslie Eggenberger and Sebastian Jimenez added even more scores to the December leaderboards?
posted: Dec 26th, 2016 The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on December 6th that four of iFLY Orlando's ICL competitors would have a busy and challenging December schedule. Yvonne Saa, Leslie Eggenberger, Sebastian Jimenez and Jimmy Xu first posted the first Indoor Cloud Leagues scores for the iFLY Orlando team on December 1st and then traveled to the west coast a week later where they competed at the IBA Indoor competition in Seattle (December 9th). Another week later (December 16th), Leslie Eggenberger and Sebastian Jimenez had a battle with their Seattle team mates at the Random Ramble of the NSL Championship... (more)
News Article Did you know that Julien Degen tested a different competition format at the Weembi 8-way meet?
posted: Dec 24th, 2016 There are not many indoor 8-way competitions in the world, even though there are several 16-foot flying chambers, which can accommodate almost the complete 8-way dive pool. Paraclete XP was the first wind tunnel hosting 8-way competition as a part of the annual indoor event, and it's still the most popular one. A total of 18 teams competed in two categories at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2016. The Clash of Champions 2015 was a smaller event with only seven 8-way teams. However, it had the quality of a world meet, as the best 8-way teams in the world made it to Inflight Dubai in... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC ZEUS has new plans for the 2017 season?
posted: Dec 22nd, 2016 SDC ZEUS was one of the two teams who attended both events of the NSL Championship 2016, the 10-round indoor part on Friday evening at iFLY Orlando, and the 6-round outdoor competition at Skydive DeLand on Saturday. It was the sixth 4-way competition for the team from Skydive City this year. ZEUS still did not have enough for the year, even after traveling to Arizona for the USPA Nationals 2016. The ZEUS 4-way project was launched by Amer Kassas in 2013 after he visited iFLY Orlando's Indoor Cloud League events (FSL Tunnel Kicker) a few times and became addicted to 4-way training and competition.... News Article Did you know that Australia has missed only one 8-way world meet in the last 30 years?
posted: Dec 21st, 2016 Australia is one of the few countries that have sent 8-way teams to each FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving since 1985, except for the world meet in Menzelinsk 2010, which is in the records with the lowest participation in 8-way history. Only the three 8-way powerhouses (U.S.A. - France - Russia) had their trained teams in Menzelinsk and gave each other a good battle for the medals. Norway had a pickup team in 8-way, as well as the team from Kazakhstan, which was recruited in the last minute. Australia is one of only a few other nations that have attended all other world meets,... (more)
News Article Did you know that China might be back to stay in Formation Skydiving competition?
posted: Dec 20th, 2016 China has been a part of the Formation Skydiving competition world since 1987. The country's national 4-way team did not compete at the first world meet after the new rules and regulations and the new dive pool were introduced in 1985 and showed up first time in Brazil 1987. The 7th place in a 25-team field was a great start into the best period for Chinese 4-way competition. Two years later in Empuriabrava, Spain, China was in 3rd place of 28 teams after Round 10, tied with the U.S. national 4-way team. China then lost the jump-off and missed the bronze medals. 4-way teams from China... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Bamaboys finished the 2016 season with a perfect record?
posted: Dec 19th, 2016 The Bamaboys are not new to the 4-way fans who follow the Sun Path Products NSL News on a regular basis and who also pay attention to all categories. The Rookie Class team from Alabama competed at each of the four Southern Skydiving League meets this year and improved the average consistently, with a perfect progression record posted by the same lineup. Jason Adams (Outside Center), Craig Kilgo (Inside Center), James Phillips (Tail) and Josh Smith (Point) then made plans for the NSL Championship and had only one personnel change. David Price replaced Alex Khaimenov on camera last weekend... (more)
