News Article Did you know that Aethers (almost) matched Mathieu Bernier's double gold at Weembi?
posted: Apr 12th, 2026 The NSL News reported on April 10th that French national coach Mathieu Bernier “could be on the verge of writing the next historic chapter in formation skydiving competition.” By that point, six rounds had been completed in all events, and his teams—Aethers (4-way Open), Nephtys (4-way Women), and AethersNephtys (8-way Open)—were either leading (Aethers, 8-way) or in strong contention for first place (Nephtys). China once again proved too strong in 4-way Women, capturing both gold and bronze with their two teams. Meanwhile, Aethers and the French 8-way combination of the two national... (more)
News Article Did you know that Indonesia surprises in 4-way Open?
posted: Apr 10th, 2026 The 4-way teams returned to action for the remainder of Friday, and all formation skydiving events had completed six rounds by the end of the day. Aethers and Nephtys transitioned seamlessly back from 8-way to 4-way, with the 4-way Open Class leaders extending their advantage by another three points over the rest of the field. Nephtys are struggling to match the pace of the leading Chinese lineup, while the second Chinese team is now applying pressure from behind. Skywalkers Most continue to defend their position as the unofficial “amateur world champions” just outside the medal standings.... (more)
News Article Did you know that Mathieu Bernier could be on the verge of writing the next historic chapter in formation skydiving?
posted: Apr 10th, 2026 Six rounds of 8-way competition and 4-way VFS followed the opening two 4-way rounds on Friday morning in France. The 4-way teams will take over the afternoon session again and are expected to complete at least four additional rounds. The battle for 8-way medals has narrowed from four teams down to three, as the French team Nova was unable to keep pace with the two home squads—Aethers Nephtys and D'Arc8—nor with the reigning indoor and outdoor world champions from the United States, Paraclete XP8. After Round 6, Nova trails by 49 points from the leader and 29 points from the bronze medal... (more)
News Article Did you know that it takes a 27+ average to make the Top 10 at Weembi Lille?
posted: Apr 9th, 2026 The first two rounds in the horizontal 4-way events have been completed at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 in Weembi Lille. The competition has already proven to be as exciting as expected in both categories—except, perhaps, for the very top position. The Aethers are fully living up to the high expectations of spectators, opponents, coaches, and experts alike. The French national team won both opening rounds with the highest scores and has already established a four-point lead over the Golden Knights. The anticipated duel between China and Nephtys in 4-way Women has delivered a compelling start,... (more)
News Article Did you know that Rounds 1 and 2 at Weembi are scheduled for Thursday afternoon?
posted: Apr 8th, 2026 Wednesday, March 8th, marks the final day before Round 1 at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026. The four NSL News leaderboards are now set for the final stage ahead of the first competition scores, and the speculative predictions in the NSL Power Rankings were reviewed one last time by NMP PCH HayaBusa team captain Dennis Praet. His team spent Wednesday at Weembi Lille, where the Belgian lineup completed a total of one hour of flight time following their arrival. This Indoor World Cup will be the first opportunity for the current lineup to compete in Weembi’s 16-foot wind tunnel. During NSL Live... (more)
News Article Did you know that Havoc enjoyed the favorable weather on Australia’s east coast?
posted: Apr 7th, 2026 Alongside South Africa, Australia is one of the well-established nations in formation skydiving that must adapt to the reversed seasonal schedule of the Southern and Eastern Hemispheres. In fact, Australia has missed only two outdoor world championships in 4-way Open since 1985, as illustrated in the NSL News update on April 6th. Australia also hosted the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2018 on the Gold Coast near Brisbane, a location many participants still remember for its spectacular scenery. The country’s east coast features many similarly scenic areas, and this year’s national outdoor... (more)
