Did you know that Polaris reports travel and training adventures from Spain? posted: May 18th, 2011 The NSL News has followed the current Norwegian national team in the female 4-way category, Polaris, from the very beginning. The current lineup (Ellen Burchardt, Kristine Willadsen, Trude Sviggum, Sissel Maria Finnseth) got together for the 2010 season and attended its first competition at the World Challenge 2010.

Did you know that you don't win a World Championship of Formation Skydiving in the windtunnel? posted: May 17th, 2011 The May issue of the Blue Skies Mag featured the next piece of the "Turning Points" series. It is the fifth contribution from the Formation Skydiving competition community for the comprehensive Blue Skies Mag coverage of the whole skydiving world.

Did you know that the Russian Illusions set a new record average at the season opener? posted: May 16th, 2011 The NSL News introduced the new Russian lineup in the female 4-way category, Illusions, briefly with the story on 30 April 2011. An earlier story had covered the team's performance at the Dubai Championship 2011 where the lineup with Elena "Lenka" Mazaeva missed a new Russian record average for the female category only due to some trouble in Round 5.
Former Kaktus Hunter Katya Kharitonova took the Point slot when Illusions decided to continue after Dubai. The new lineup then attended Russia's 2011 season opener in Kolomna at the end of April and completed what the Illusions just missed in January.... (more)
Did you know that the French B-Teams have been going neck to neck? posted: May 15th, 2011 The United Kingdom had the largest delegation of teams at the World Challenge 2011, which was no surprise, of course. The travel distances for the UK teams makes it much easier to attend the event.
However, France was not too far behind, at least in the AAA Class.
Ten UK teams competed in the category with the complete dive pool, and France was only two teams behind. The French 8-team delegation included Rebootizer Aerial though, who compete officially for Monaco.
The French teams were all over the leaderboard and separated into two different categories.

Did you know that Black Cat's videographer Vadim Niyazov presents the Shamrock Showdown 2010? posted: May 14th, 2011 NSL-TV has uploaded several copies of TV shows in the past, which featured selected NSL events. Those productions are not the popular NSL-TV Reality shows, which are mostly available during the live event coverage of the NSL News. They were rather produced for airing on TV channels. The TV show of the NSL Championship 2000 was recently uploaded when the NSL News covered the history of the National Skydiving League.
There was an even earlier show that was produced in 1999 and covered the NSL Championship, as well. The video of this show, which was the first one in the NSL history, has not been... (more)
Did you know that Italy adds the Rookie Class to the National Championships 2011? posted: May 13th, 2011 Only two teams from Italy competed at the World Challenge this year. The 2010 event had four teams involved in the internal Italian race.
However, Excidis had a very interesting lineup, and Area 51 came back with the same lineup as in 2010 to go from the 32nd place of 37 teams and a 16.2 average in 2010 to the 26th place of 40 teams this year, with a 17.0 average.
Excidis was a lineup that was put together only for the World Challenge. Player coach Marco Arrigo, former Sinapsi member and bronze medalist with Italy's 8-way team Ex3mo in 2008, and Manuela Quarella teamed up for the third consecutive... (more)
