Did you know that Best of Relative is the TEAM of the WEEKEND? posted: May 31st, 2011 Last weekend's leaderboard is complete with the teams who applied the same competition draw at Skydive Perris, Skydive City and in the Czech Republic. The scores of the 14 teams at the Z-Scrambles in Zephyrhills will be added as soon as possible on a separate leaderboard.
Four of the five teams in the Czech Republic competed in the AAA Class, as a few moved up this year after competing in the AA Class last year. Czech League Director Jan Klapka reported that the weather did not allow any jumping on Saturday. However, five teams came back on Sunday and completed the six rounds.

Did you know that Dutch 4-way Rookies of 2004 are national champions of 2010? posted: May 30th, 2011 Whooops and TGV were the first Dutch Rookie Class teams that were registered in May 2005 when the Netherlands introduced the new category at the Dutch Skydiving League meet, which was called Dutch Handicap Cup by then. The Netherlands were a part of the international NSL Network earlier and applied the AAA and A Class before the Rookie Class was added at the Tomscat Trophy in 2005.
Team Bijna joined the Dutch Rookies a few weeks later at another meet. Only Whooops came back to compete at the Tomscat Trophy in June 2005, as well, and the national championships did not offer a Rookie Class competition.

Did you know that 14 additional teams compete at Skydive City's annual Z-Scramble? posted: May 29th, 2011 The annual Z-Scramble at Skydive City is still in full swing while some of this weekend's scores have been posted. 14 additional lineups compete for honors and prizes with a separate A Class draw and try to complete four rounds in Zephyrhills.
Teiwaz and the SinnerZ completed six and four rounds on Saturday, and most of yesterday's players are back in the air today with different Z-Scrambles lineups. Oren Kalb and Laura Song are once again very busy organizing participants, videographers and team captains.

Did you know that Nick Grillet and Samer Haija had a special kind of reunion at the Valentine's Meet 2011? posted: May 27th, 2011 Yesterday's NSL News update from Brazil included a revisit of the Valentine's Meet 2011 and brought back to attention an interesting situation at the same event.
The colorful Teiwaz West lineup had Samer Haija and Nick Grillet join forces for some 4-way fun. Nick Grillet is usually in the Tail slot, and Samer Haija has mostly been the Center Inside in his career. Both had been a part of the NSL News coverage when SDC Rhythm XP had a tryout event for the open Tail slot in December 2009.

Did you know that the World Team jumps jets into the future? posted: May 25th, 2011 The NSL News story on 26 March 2011 included an update of the Dubai 500 project. Dan BC provided an overview of the current situation on his side.
The same story mentioned that BJ Worth is also on the road to a new big-way world record with his World Team. He is gathering his international big-way experts who have been setting world records with him several times in the past.
