Did you know that eight teams had to re-locate in Georgia? posted: May 7th, 2011 The NSL News goes back in time once again while waiting for scores from the United Kingdom. This time, it is the May meet of the Georgia Skydiving League in 2000, which took place on the same weekend 11 years ago. It was a very interesting event since the competition site was moved at the very last minute.
The first part of the NSL News story was posted on May 6th, the day before the competition. The second part followed next day, but from a different location. The plane situation had changed, and GSL Director Danny Page took quick action by re-locating the meet.

Did you know that Full Stop does not even slow down? posted: May 6th, 2011 It's the last day before the British 4-way teams will post their first outdoor scores this year, and it's the last opportunity to introduce more of the teams that may compete this weekend in Netheravon.
The World Challenge 2011 naturally attracted many of the UK teams to Bodyflight Bedford, and the NSL News recently covered the AAA Class competition with the focus on the home teams on UK soil.

Did you know that Shannon Pilcher beat Solly Williams by one point? posted: May 5th, 2011 The International Bunny Meet has created the content for three different stories so far, and the NSL News still has to go back to the event one more time.
There was another interesting and quite exciting part of the competition that did not take place in freefall. The place of this kind of action was on the ground, mostly in the area between the creeper pad and the boarding area.
The four teams that competed in DeLand were split up into two different groups. The two teams from Sweden, Bardagi and CADO, were naturally closer to each other, and they also shared the same coach, Shannon Pilcher.... (more)
Did you know that SportLoto has a foot in the open door? posted: May 4th, 2011 A correction note came from Russia on Sunday and was confirmed with a copy of the official scoresheet on Tuesday. The correction had a significant impact on the very top of the leaderboard since SportLoto took away the 1st place from Gradient Alpha. (more)
Did you know that Mr. Pink won free tunnel time on April 26? posted: May 3rd, 2011 The NSL News goes once again back in time and to the archives which are not stored in the current database. The story on 1 May 2003 covered the meet weekend on April 26th eight years ago. It was the beginning of the synchronized international competition draw that the NSL created and that is still applied today.
The NSL also applied a handicap system by then, which was used to determine the winners of the free windtunnel time that SkyVenture Orlando provided for the NSL teams. The NSL News story on May 1st explained how the system worked.

Did you know that UK teams will post outdoor scores this weekend? posted: May 2nd, 2011 The upcoming weekend brings the British 4-way teams together for the first outdoor meet of the 2011 season. It is not the first competition of the year for many of the UK teams, as a great number of teams attended the World Challenge 2011.
It is also not the first outdoor meet for two of the UK teams. SonicNutz and Boogie Nights both competed at the Shamrock Showdown 2011 and had an exciting 10-round UK battle. Bodyflight Voluntas from Denmark and Teiwaz Falcon were also involved in this race for the 10th place.
