posted: Jan 26th, 2017 The first major indoor competition of the 2017 season, the Wind Games in Empuriabrava, Spain, is bringing back together the Top 5 teams on the mixed leaderboard of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2016 and several other teams who competed at Flyspot in October 2016, as well. The results after the next ten rounds between the same five teams could have a different outcome, as NMP PCH HayaBusa and Weembi were close enough at the last indoor meet, while it could not have been any closer between the two French national teams in 4-way Open and 4-way Women. There are still a few teams that competed at the FAI Mondial 2016 and have not received the deserved attention yet. The World Championship of Formation Skydiving is the most relevant competition in the sport, and it always allows a closer look at the history of the participating nations. Only one team represents each country, and it is usually the currently strongest one after nationally defined qualification criteria. posted: Jan 24th, 2017 Weembi's signature lineup with three 4-way world champions of 2010 (Julien Degen, Mathieu and Guillaume Bernier) and one of 2014 (Roy Janssen) has caught the Sun Path Products NSL News attention several times in the past, and the upcoming indoor events (Wind Games, French Indoor Nationals, World Challenge) are sparking even more interest. posted: Jan 23rd, 2017 Brian "BK" Krause calls himself a "Golden Knight 101", and this explains almost everything. He has retired from the U.S. Army and now works in the marketing department of Sun Path Products. However, any conversation with him makes you feel that his heart is actually still with the Golden Knights. He has a very good reason to be proud of his career in the U.S. Army, especially of the last eight years. Did you know that the Golden Knights are fielding a new 4-way Open Class team?
posted: Jan 23rd, 2017 The Sun Path Products NSL News reported on 28 December 2016 that Jennifer Davidson, reigning world champion in 4-way Women, has joined the Golden Knights 8-way team. The same story explained briefly that she will also continue to train and compete in 4-way on a significantly smaller scale with the same lineup that won the USPA bronze medals at last year's national championships in Eloy (Matt Davidson, Kurt Isenbarger, Sean Sweeney). Did you know that iFLY Orlando and iFLY Tampa will post scores on different Indoor Cloud League leaderboards?
posted: Jan 22nd, 2017 The Indoor Cloud League 2016 season is over, and the iFLY SF Bay team turned the battle for the top spot on the 12+ leaderboard at the last minute. The December highscore of 153 points was the highest total of the year for iFLY SF Bay, and the 30-point difference to iFLY Orlando secured the 21-point victory (1482 - 1461) after the 12-month race. The monthly battle between iFLY SF Bay and iFLY Orlando was very close between August and November with a maximum 5-point difference, and the Florida team still carried a lead into December.
