Did You Know...

... that Joey Jones fixed the weather in Germany?

Fixed the weather: Joey Jones
posted Aug 1st, 2011 - The NSL Talk with Joey Jones is next. He was studying the scoreboards at the World Cup 2011 when the NSL News found him. He seemed to like the meet setup, logistics and facilities that the German organizers have provided. This place is ready for a great meet.

He only did not like the German weather so far and went the other direction in trying to beat the conditions. Most people here try to keep it quiet about the World Meet 2006 in Germany. Joey Jones thinks that everybody should talk about the weather to beat it. He was eventually right, as the weather turned out to be perfect in the afternoon - warm and sunny.

He also provided some insights from the NMP-PCH Hayabusa headquarters. The situation is almost the same as at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 in Menzelinsk, Russia, when the Belgian team had very little time to prepare for the meet after returning from the CISM Championship. However, Hayabusa still wants to win the meet in Saarlouis, even though the main focus is on the World Meet 2012 in Dubai.

Sky Panthers Barkli 8way training video coming soon
The NSL News followed some more teams around on the dropzone and at the boarding area. There were still training activities on Monday afternoon, and some of the top teams provided some footage for the judges.

NSL-TV picked up a few videos with jumps of the official training sequences. Those videos will be uploaded next and feature the Sky Panthers in 4way and 8way, the Golden Knights female lineup in 4way and the Brit Chicks in 8way.

The new video clip finishes off with a brief conversation with the German VFS 4way team. They were the last owners of the Fun Flag in Russia last year and had to bring it to the event in Germany. The Fun Flag has not been flying yet, but the competition has not officially begun yet. The conversation is in German and hints some news about the location, not much though.

The competition draw is over, and the list of teams will be finalized very soon, along with the new leaderboard.
