News Article Did you know that grassroot 4-way participants trained next to world class competitors in Sebastian?
posted: May 1st, 2011 The first 4-way meet in Russia this year could hardly have been any more exciting, and the scores promise more great competition on the top level. Gradient Alpha turned the table on the second day of the meet and changed the 3-point deficit into a 1-point victory over SportLoto on Sunday. Most of the penalties have now been added to the leaderboard and show equal damage between the two top contenders. The scores of the Illusions on the second day of the meet deserve special attention, as well. It seems like the new all-female lineup was a different team on Sunday. The scores on Saturday weren't... News Article Did you know that the Illusions are probably not aiming at the bronze medals?
posted: Apr 30th, 2011 The Russian 4-way community launches the 2011 season this weekend on home turf. As last year, the skydiving center in Kolomna is once again hosting the first meet of the year, and it is a very competitive field of teams that will be posting the first scores this weekend. It is not the first meet in 2011 for several of the Russian teams. Gradient Alpha, Black Cat, FS3 and Illusions attended the Dubai Championship 2011 in January. Black Cat followed up at the Valentine's Meet 2011 in February and at the Shamrock Showdown 2011. SportsLoto competed at the World Challenge 2011. Gradient Alpha... (more)
News Article Did you know that Dan BC's unique skydiving story comes in a book and a movie?
posted: Apr 29th, 2011 Dan BC's NSL Profile was one of the earliest on the NSL website, maybe the first one of all. His career story is so fascinating and unique that this was no surprise. The Dan BC story has been told many times inside and outside of the skydiving community. It is about time for an update of Dan BC's NSL Profile, as well... He is not an active full time competitor any longer. However, he has an agenda that might be busier than ever in his life. It's not only the coaching job and his management involvement at Skydive Perris that requires a lot of attention. He has added several other projects... (more)
News Article Did you know that 15 teams competed in Pahokee?
posted: Apr 28th, 2011 The NSL News goes once again far back into the archives that are not stored in the current database, which begins in May 2003. April 28 was a Sunday in 2002, and the NSL News reported the Florida Skydiving League competition that took place on Saturday, April 27, at Skydive America in Pahokee. The scoreboard looked different by then, and it also included scores after handicap. The National Skydiving League and SkyVenture Orlando worked closely together by then, and all teams had the opportunity to win free tunnel time on every meet weekend. The scores after handicap produced the winners. There... (more)
News Article Did you know that Thomas Hughes and Niklas Hemlin had their own NSL Talk show in Bedford?
posted: Apr 27th, 2011 The NSL News goes back to the World Challenge 2011. There is still unpublished NSL Reality-TV footage that has been waiting to be edited. Of course, there is also still plenty of additional CamScore footage of the tunnel competition, which will be fed in whenever there is time and opportunity. The new clip includes video footage that was captured at Bodyflight Bedford between the completion of the meet and the award ceremony. Participants and visitors entertained themselves in the FlowHouse while host Paul Mayer prepared the downstairs hangar for the award ceremony. The NSL-TV camera was... (more)
News Article Did you know that CADO and Bodyflight Factum won two of the three skins last weekend?
posted: Apr 26th, 2011 Not much more happened in Perris over the weekend. The weather did not allow the Norwegian A Class teams at the Viking Challenge to complete any more competition rounds, and the A Class leaderboard remained unchanged. That's officially the same case for the AAA Class competition. However, Bodyflight Atlas, the B-Team of Denmark's national 4-way project, completed the missing five rounds on Monday and provided the NSL News with the scores, which have been added unofficially to the leaderboard. Those numbers don't appear on any other leaderboard and are not calculated for any records in the... (more)
