Did you know that two teams braved heat and humidity in Virginia? posted: Jul 10th, 2013 The Virginia Parachute Council held the first competition of the 2013 season at Skydive Orange, with two home teams attending the meet. VPC Director Elizabeth Kang reported that an additional team from Skydive Suffolk had to cancel at the last minute when a team member could not make the trip to Orange.
Moulin Orange is an Orange based group of girls who are trying to practice 4way on a semi-regular basis. The usual team members are Erin Kruth, the the most experienced 4way competitor in the team, plus Lucie Low, Abby Fistler and Mel Bostwick who have 100 or less jumps each.

Did you know that any completed meet is a good meet in the Northwest? posted: Jul 9th, 2013 Three smaller meets last weekend combined for the latest overall leaderboard. Only the A Class competition brought teams from different locations (Northwest, Canada) together this time. Two teams from Virginia were alone in the AA Class, and the Yeah Team had the Rookie Class for themselves.
However, the A Class competition featured an interesting mix of teams from the Northwest Skydiving League and Canada. The competition between Fun Sponge and BLD alone could not have been any more exciting, as both teams finished tied in 2nd place after six rounds and only a few points behind Canada's A Class... Did you know that NADS won the Coach's Choice Award of the Midwest Skydiving League? posted: Jul 8th, 2013 Skydive Chicago held its first MWSL meet of the 2013 season on June 22, run by this year’s new MWSL director JaNette Lefkowitz and coached by Mikhail Markine, both from SDC Rhythm XP.
The event was especially noteworthy since SDC is the location of the USPA Nationals later this year.
With what appears to be the biggest turnout in MWSL history, ten teams took advantage of the opportunity to get a preview of what the big meet will be like.
While the official meet was six rounds, three of the teams continued to complete all ten, and a number of them exited from 10,500 feet to simulate the... (more)
Did you know that you may call it sandbagging next year? posted: Jul 7th, 2013 The latest contribution of the Sun Path Products NSL News for Blue Skies Mag was published last week in the summer edition and written shortly after the World Challenge 2013 where 77 teams set a new record for participation at the annual indoor competition.
The first outdoor events were successfully completed when the article was written, and the outdoor participation was just as promising as the indoor numbers were indicating. It does not look any different at the moment and after the first months of the 2013 outdoor season.
The stories of the World Challenge 2013 included incredible performances... (more)
Did you know that Sinner G contributed heavily to the Northwest scores for the Indoor Cloud League? posted: Jul 6th, 2013 The Indoor Cloud League competition for the month of June is over, and Florida at iFLY Orlando won the 4th time in the six months so far this year.
It was a very close call though. Deb Correia's Northwest group at iFLY Seattle could have matched the FL score or outscored it without missing the points for the AAA Class. Florida was 17 points ahead with scores for all six categories, while the Northwest did not have a AAA Class lineup available last month. A 17-pointer was surely not out of reach, as the other AAA Class scores from SkyVenture New Hampshire and Sportflight in Prague are showing.

Did you know that Spaceland SPX5 pursues the Cosmic Debris gold medal level? posted: Jul 5th, 2013 Last weekend's AA Class leaderboard is comprised of four teams from Texas and two teams from the Northern Plains. The Sun Path Products NSL News reported earlier that Texas won all three categories (AAA - AA - Rookie) in which teams had signed up for at the meet in Speaceland. SPX5 was the undisputed winner in the AA Class.
Other than that, the AA Class competition on the overall leaderboard was possibly more exciting and closer than ever before. Two teams were tied in 2nd place, and two other teams were tied in 4th place. This could also be a first time on any NSL overall leaderboard.
