Did you know that SDC Jetstream Tango beat the 10-average benchmark in the team's 5th year? posted: Jun 28th, 2013 The teams of the Midwest Skydiving League enjoyed much better weather last weekend compared to the season opener in May where six teams struggled to make any competition jumps. Ten teams attended the meet at Skydive Chicago, host of the USPA Nationals 2013.
Only one of this year's 16 MWSL teams posted scores at both events, and 55 North used last weekend's competition to make up for the only two rounds at Chicagoland Skydiving. The AA Class team improved the meet average to 6.4 after completing all ten rounds.
Another team did the same in the AA Class. SDC Accelerando, with player coach JaNette... (more)

Did you know that Thunder videographer Grim Swinnen combines world class swooping and 4way filming? posted: Jun 26th, 2013 Last weekend's leaderboard is complete with the scores from Canada and the Midwest. However, the Sun Path Products NSL News goes back one more time to the Tomscat Trophy for a good reason. More Thunder videos are now available, and the AAA Class winner has not received much attention yet.
Reason for the little attention was the fact that the battle for the 2nd place between Whooops and Creeps was very interesting. Even Cool Runnings and the team's quest to beat the 10-average level in the AAA/Open Class caught more attention than Thunder.
Fact is also that Sun Path Products NSL News and the... (more)

Latest result of the current NSL-TV digitizing efforts is a review of the best 4way teams in the USA after Arizona Airspeed's Vertical lineup had won the 4way gold medals at the World Meet 2001 in Spain.
Airspeed was the best 4way team on the planet after winning in Spain and continuing with the same lineup in 2002.
However, the Golden Knights had switched the focus on 4way a few years ago and were only two points behind Airspeed at the USPA Nationals shortly... (more)
Did you know that Whooops posted the annual 20-pointer at the right time? posted: Jun 23rd, 2013 The national 4way team of the Netherlands, Whooops, moved up into the AAA Class in 2008 after progressing through the lower categories year by year.
Different Whooops lineups have posted one round with a 20+ score every year in the AAA Class ever since, with one exception in 2009.
The last 20-pointer (E,F,22,O) at the Tomscat Trophy had the slowest of all five sequences between 2008 and 2013 and was probably the most important one for Whooops so far.
Whooops and Creeps were tied in 2nd place behind Thunder, and Round 10 would feature the final showdown between the two top contenders for... (more)
