News Article Did you know that Florida's Indoor Cloud League team posted scores and videos for eight of the nine July sequences?
posted: Jul 15th, 2017 The Brazilian 4-way team Harpia posted the first scores for the A Class sequence on the 12+ leaderboard of the Indoor Cloud League July competition, and the Sun Path Products NSL News will soon introduce the new arrival. The teams and competitors of the Florida Skydiving League followed up last Thursday with an almost complete set of scores and videos at iFLY Tampa. Only the RRR Class sequence does not have a number yet. The Rookie Class lineup (Matt O'Gwynn, Anthony Maldonado, Erica Gorski, Kurt Gaebel) actually performed all three sequences (RRR - RR - R) but could only post scores for two... (more)
News Article Did you know that Pangaea videographer Anders Krabbenhøft won gold and silver in front and behind the camera?
posted: Jul 15th, 2017 Denmark held the national championships during the busy first week of July. Pangaea, national team in 4-way Open and defending 4-way champion, had no problem to win the 2017 title, even though the team had to go through a personnel change after the FAI Mondial 2016. Kjetil Nordin had to step back due to health problems, and Ali Shahrohktash took his place. The new Pangaea member is only 23 years of age and probably the youngest Danish 4-way champion ever. Kjetil Nordin remembered that VAF Warrior Martin Mikkelsen was the youngest so far after winning the title at age 25 in 2011. Pangaea might... (more)
News Article Did you know that several teams attended their first meets in new categories at the Tomscat Trophy?
posted: Jul 13th, 2017 The Sun Path Products NSL News goes back to the coverage of the Tomscat Trophy 2017, which featured not only the first appearance of the Dutch 20+ Project teams on a AAA Class leaderboard. In fact, this year's Tomscat Trophy had record participation, as the story on 21 June 2017 explained, and the competition was exciting, especially in two of the four categories. Only the teams in the Rookie Class did not hurt each other too much, and the two top spots in the AAA Class had the team names written before the meet began. However, there was a good AAA Class battle between Cool Runnings and Gravity... (more)
News Article Did you know that Parachute Montreal Fuzion won the first round in Canadian 4-way history against Evolution?
posted: Jul 12th, 2017 The Canadian Nationals 2017 were held in the last week of June at Nouvel Air, home of the Lemay family and the national 4-way team Evolution, FAI bronze medalist in Prostejov 2014. NouvelAir's Catherine Carignan Levasseur was the meet director while the whole Lemay family was competing. The three brothers (Martin, Vincent, Benoit) are still competing with the same lineup that started after the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2014 in Prostejov. Jean Christophe Ouimet replaced Katie Woods by then, and the new lineup has been competing in 4-way Open and 4-way VFS ever since. There... (more)
News Article Did you know that the British 4-way updates do not end with 4mula and Chimera?
posted: Jul 11th, 2017 It took a little while until the Sun Path Products NSL News had figured out the correct history of the British 4-way team Chimera. The updates from the United Kingdom began with the story on June 27, after team 4mula had to withdraw from the planned attendance at the FAI World Cup 2017. The story a day later followed up with Chimera's personnel changes. The Chimera facts were finally sorted out with the kind help of several British 4-way competitors, while the story continues. There was a connection between the two updates that came when the topic was discussed between 4-way experts... (more)
News Article Did you know that the A Class teams won last weekend's overall competition?
posted: Jul 11th, 2017 Last weekend's leaderboard is featuring teams from Northern California and once again from the Midwest, just two weeks after the June meet of the Midwest Skydiving League. SDMW NEXT did not make it to the Chicagoland Skydiving Center; however, the three A Class teams who competed for Chicagoland at Skydive Chicago on the first June weekend had competition last weekend in this category on their home turf. They almost swept the A Class leaderboard of six teams. SDMW Rampage managed to outscore the third CSC team, Legos, by one single point after the four rounds that were completed by all A Class...
