Did you know that the new NSL-TV video shows another mirror-imaging sequence? posted: Dec 25th, 2017 Block 17 (Danish T - Murphy) and Block 5 (Blackhole - Bipole) are the only blocks in the whole dive pool that cause mirror-imaged formations and block maneuvers at every other page of the sequence.
Block 5 was out of the way after being drawn in Round 1 of the NSL Championship 2001. Block 17 came up in Round 5 of the competition, together with three random formations for the fastest round of the whole meet.
The teams in the first five places, including guest teams Sinapsi and Optic Nerve, plus the Angry Beez, all scored their highest results of the meet in this round. However, the mirror-imaged... (more)
Did you know that the Airbus lineup fits into a 16-foot flying chamber? posted: Dec 23rd, 2017 Italy and Germany have an interesting 4-way history together since 1985. The Italian national teams had the stronger start into the modern era of Formation Skydiving competition and were ahead of Germany throughout the first four world meets (1985 - 1991).
Germany then took over in 1993 and maintained the upper hand at their own four world meets (1993 - 1999). Sinapsi's first lineup of 2001 (Francesco Tegoni, Livio Piccolo, Luca Marchioro, Marco Arrigo, Luca Poretti on camera) turned it back around for Italy and launched the longest period of Italian dominance over Germany at seven world meets... Did you know that Amnesya won the Belgian Indoor Nationals with a Belgian team member? posted: Dec 22nd, 2017 The Belgian Indoor Nationals 2017 took place without the Belgian indoor and outdoor world champions, NMP PCH HayaBusa, who are enjoying their much deserved winter break.
There was one exception though, as the team's inside center David Grauwels was filling an open slot slot for the Italian team Amnesya.
It's the second HayaBusa member who has been helping the Italians. Tail Jeroen "Bob" Nollet was in the tail slot at the ISR Grand Prix 2017 where team member Antonio Delogu was missing.

Did you know that 18 teams that competed at the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2003? posted: Dec 21st, 2017 We have already read how the local media perceived the FSL Shamrock Showdown 2003, and the positive coverage was greatly appreciated by host Skydive DeLand, teams and meet management.
The drop zone was very busy on all three meet days. Spectators had called the NSL office and the drop zone management all day long on Friday, Saturday and Sunday asking for information about the event. However, now it is about time to look at the Shamrock Showdown from the skydiver's point of view.

Did you know that new Russian 4-way Women team TochkaG may own a new world record? posted: Dec 20th, 2017 The leaderboard of the Russian Nationals 2017 that was posted with yesterday's update was missing one team. TochkaG had a separate leaderboard and was officially the winner of the 4-way Women competition. Both Russian all-female teams, Bubble Struggle and TochkaG, yet applied the same competition draw, and the combined leaderboard allows a direct comparison of the scores.
Russia's national team and silver medalist in 4-way Women at the FAI World Cup 2017 in Saarlouis, Bubble Trouble, had signed up for the 4-way Open Class competition at the Russian national indoor championships and finished... (more)
