News Article Did you know that Vana Parker owns the highest outdoor average of the NFTO members so far?
posted: Jul 27th, 2018 The NSL News reported recently that NFTO, the British national team in 4-way Women, competed with new team member Sian Stokes at the Hib Cup last weekend and finished with the team's first 20+ average after the six scheduled rounds. The story looked back at the history of the new team member and the relationship between her teams, 4mula and Volition, and NFTO in the past years. Sian Stokes trained and competed with Team 4mula when NFTO was formed in 2015. The story pointed out that Sian Stokes' teams were always ahead of NFTO at any meets that both teams attended ever since. The history of... (more)
News Article Did you know that the ESL Championship 2018 is once again open for teams in all four NSL categories?
posted: Jul 25th, 2018 Most of the teams in the 4-way world are now in the final stages of their preparations for the national outdoor championships. Most of the winning teams will then continue and get ready for the FAI World Championship of Formation Skydiving, this year in October in Australia. The world meet is the most relevant competition in the sport, and it is open exclusively and only for each country's one national team. The federations of the participating countries select their national teams in different ways, and this year's national championships are not necessarily the qualifiers for the FAI World... (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed's Niklas Hemlin had a busy week in Florida?
posted: Jul 25th, 2018 Arizona Airspeed member Niklas Hemlin recently spent some time in Florida for a few coaching jobs, and several 4-way competitors took advantage of the great opportunity. He was already connected to Florida this year, as he filled in for Arizona FM when Ari Perelman was not available for the ten rounds of the World Tunnel League June competition. AZ FM member Jimmy Xu is also team mate of Florida Skydiving League organizer Amer Kassas for the AAA Class lineup of SCZ ZEUS. Amer Kassas had invited Niklas Hemlin for the coaching projects, and one result of the visit last week were two different... (more)
News Article Did you know that NFTO posted last weekend's 20.3 average with a new lineup?
posted: Jul 23rd, 2018 The three meets of the United Kingdom Skydiving League were still not the end of opportunities for British 4-way teams to get ready for the national championships. Skydive Hibaldstow, once again host of the UK Nationals 2018, invited teams to the Hib Cup last weekend, and 13 teams showed up to complete the six scheduled rounds. Several teams of the Midwest Skydiving League were ready at Skydive Midwest in the United States to take on the British teams and were completely weathered out for the whole weekend. However, the British leaderboard alone provided enough new and interesting information,... (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed gets faster with slower sequences?
posted: Jul 23rd, 2018 Arizona Airspeed's team captain Niklas Hemlin mentioned in the aftermath of the Shamrock Showdown 2018 and the Paraclete XP Summer Classic 2018 that he was happy with the team performance for the slowest sequences at the two outdoor meets. There is no doubt that the fastest sequences can make the bigger difference at a tight competition and create serious gaps between competing teams. The slowest rounds, which are usually 3-block sequences, still have an important meaning, as they indicate the basic team speed and the quality of the technical skills of a team. The NSL News has evaluated the... (more)
News Article Did you know that Northwest and Northern California tied last weekend's leaderboard?
posted: Jul 21st, 2018 British and U.S. Teams are in action again this weekend, while the NSL News review the leaderboard that brought teams together on the July 14 weekend. Seattle Swift was the only AAA Class team on the combined leaderboard, as the Spaceland-Houston Pre-Nationals 2018 had a separate competition draw for the eight rounds. Dallas 350ish and Seattle Swift were separated by only one point, and the same sequences would have made the AAA Class competition even more exciting. The two Rookie Class teams were also by themselves in Northern California and did not have competition at other locations last... (more)
