News Article Did you know that SCZ ZEUS outscored SCZ ZEUSpeed on the World Tunnel League leaderboard?
posted: Aug 2nd, 2018 The Florida 4-way teams and competitors were the only ones on the July leaderboard of the World Tunnel League, which applies a very similar format as the National Skydiving League has done for many years. The WTL teams from the Czech Republic are in the middle of their outdoor season and resume with the monthly indoor meets in November, and Northern California did not have a meet scheduled in July. NCTL teams will be back on the WTL leaderboard in August. The July leaderboard is still showing the scores of eight teams after their 10-round meets, and the first scores were posted when Arizona... News Article Did you know that there is something special about 4-way training and competition?
posted: Aug 1st, 2018 I have a very dear friend, one of the best I have ever had in my life, and I guess it is not a big surprise that we share a passion, which is 4-way training and competition. It did not start out like that, even though we met in the skydiving community. I was already an addict, while he was not involved in 4-way at all when we ran into each other. That was roughly 25 years ago. I was coaching then and he and a few friends wanted to become better skydivers. I tried to help them and used the opportunity to carefully manipulate them into the right direction ... Eventually we ended up in the same... (more)
News Article Did you know that Velocitas may follow the Valkyria path for Denmark in 4-way Women?
posted: Jul 31st, 2018 Two of the four Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Finland) are finishing off their 2018 outdoor season with the national championships this week, and Denmark was the first one with the last outdoor leaderboard of the year. Pangaea has won all outdoor meets in Denmark since 2016, and nothing changed this year, even though there were two other teams in the AAA Class competition. Two former members of the VAF Warriors (John Pedersen, Martin Soeby Mikkelsen), who had dominated 4-way competition in Denmark before Pangaea, tried to offer at least some opposition with former Sky Riders member Stefan... News Article Did you know that the 8-way coverage transitions from Germany to Australia?
posted: Jul 30th, 2018 The NSL News continues with 8-way coverage, even though there will be a geographical transition from Germany to Australia. This transition is not only based on the fact that the German skydiving federation is now purchasing tickets for Airbus München to Gold Coast down under. The German 8-way team will still post even more current scores at the national championships at the end of August before traveling to Australia. This time, Airbus has to finish only with a 12.5 average to qualify for next year's international events, and this benchmark is not even a challenge any longer after the 13.8... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airbus qualified for Australia with 13.8 after ten rounds?
posted: Jul 29th, 2018 The good news for the new German Airbus 8-way team continued on the second day of the qualification event, where Airbus had to finish with a 13.0 average to earn the tickets to the FAI World Meet later this year in Australia. Airbus had finished with a 13.8 average for the six rounds that were completed on Saturday and copied this average for the last four rounds on Sunday. All question marks behind a German 8-way team at this year's world meet can be erased, and the discussion of the qualification norm can also be left behind. It is also good news for the Formation Skydiving competition... (more)
News Article Did you know that the new Airbus lineup is five points ahead of the German federation after Round 6?
posted: Jul 28th, 2018 The NSL News has covered the qualification drama of the German 8-way team Airbus a few times this year, beginning with the introduction of the new 8-way project on 8 January 2018. The story became even more interesting when the details of the qualification requirements for the team to compete for Germany at the FAI World Meet 2018 became a part of the story. The update on 14 May 2018 provided more details of the situation. Finally, the last update on 8 June 2018 included the details of the qualification event that the German skydiving federation had set up for the new Airbus 8-way lineup. It... (more)
