News Article Did you know that four teams competed for two iFLY Dallas highscores in March?
posted: May 12th, 2026 Kyle Hermberg, Indoor Cloud League organizer and Skydiver of the Year 2023, did not have the full SSD Pajama Party lineup available for his iFLY Dallas team in March. Their indoor season had already concluded at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2026, where the team earned its first set of medals. In fact, Pajama Party had already transitioned to outdoor training and competition, posting their first outdoor scores at the season opener of the Texas Skydiving League. They shared the AA/Intermediate Class leaderboard with Texas team Toxic Horizon and four teams from the Southern California Skydiving... (more)
News Article Did you know that Thyra’s newest team member Arlene Storebø has completed her AFF training?
posted: May 10th, 2026 Yesterday’s NSL News update, which focused on the 4-way Women team Meltemi Oceanside Illertissen and the two German 8-way teams at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026, also mentioned the Norwegian 4-way Women team Thyra. Like Meltemi, Thyra entered the competition as a potential bronze-medal contender but ultimately found themselves clearly outside the medal positions. Even so, Thyra managed to apply pressure on NFTO, who eventually secured 4th place, and they also outscored the U.S. team in the category, XP Angels, despite the American squad fielding a new and stronger lineup that included 4-way... News Article Did you know that Germany's 8-way teams feature colorful lineups?
posted: May 9th, 2026 The German 4-way Women team Meltemi Oceanside Illertissen was considered a potential bronze-medal contender in this category at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 when the first list of registered teams for the event became available. A different Meltemi lineup had won FAI bronze medals at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023, with two members of the current team — Linda Köb and Franziska Wiesler — while the current lineup, now with Petra Jastram and Nadeja Sievers, had posted a promising 21.4 team-record average at the national indoor championship in March this year. The outlook for a bronze medal... (more)
News Article Did you know that the run-up to the Outdoor World Championship has begun?
posted: May 7th, 2026 The indoor competition season concluded this year with the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 at Weembi Lille, and the next major FAI/ISC event will be the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026. The national teams that attended the Indoor World Cup now have almost exactly six months to transition from Round 10 at Weembi Lille to Round 1 at Skydive Arizona in Eloy, Arizona. The switch from the indoor to the outdoor environment is generally more challenging than the reverse transition. Indoor events are unaffected by weather conditions, while outdoor competition requires several critical skills that cannot... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Czech Indoor Cloud League team continued without Skywalkers Most?
posted: May 6th, 2026 Jan Klapka submitted the Czech Indoor Cloud League scores for the month of April, following last month’s leaderboard launch by new participants at iFLY Atlanta. Meanwhile, Alix Raymond, team videographer for the XP Angels, is working on establishing a full ICL presence in Georgia. Jan Klapka was unable to benefit from Skywalkers Most’s contribution to the Czech ICL total in April. It marked the first time this year that the team was unavailable for the two Open Class sequences (AAA/AA), as they were fully focused on preparing for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026. Reporting from the Czech... (more)
News Article Did you know that the European 8-way leaderboard was affected more than any other category?
posted: May 5th, 2026 The official separation of all participating teams at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 into an embedded European Championship leaderboard—complete with a full set of FAI medals for the top three teams—had its greatest impact on the 8-way competition. Only four of the 13 teams (31%) were eligible for European Championship medals. By comparison, the 4-way Open Class included 12 of 26 teams (46%) on the European leaderboard, while the 4-way Women category featured seven of 13 teams (54%). The FAI World Cup format allows more than just national teams to compete, as each country can enter up to... (more)
