News Article Did you know that Skynamite outscored Airheads for the first time in March?
posted: May 18th, 2026 The NSL News covered the Swiss 4-way Women rivalry between Airdrops and WingX at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 extensively on May 3rd. The one-point difference after ten rounds was hardly unusual for two teams that have been competing closely against each other for several years. Their latest showdown had taken place only shortly before they met again at Weembi Lille for another ten-round battle. The previous duel, at the national indoor championship, had been scheduled for seven rounds and ended with a two-point margin (146–144) in favor of Airdrops. The third Swiss 4-way team at Weembi... News Article Did you know that Aethers and Golden Knights have met ten times over the past two years?
posted: May 17th, 2026 The NSL Power Rankings are part of the preview coverage for the major events of the year, providing "speculative predictions" for positions on the respective leaderboards. These rankings build anticipation for upcoming competitions by offering insights into the participating teams and their preparations. Audiences, experts, and coaches also contribute their perspectives and expectations based on the available information. However, the foundation of the NSL Power Rankings extends beyond "speculative predictions" that ultimately determine the leaderboard positions. A substantial amount of reliable... (more)
News Article Did you know that Ranch TNT SDAZ compete for the U.S. delegation in Eloy?
posted: May 15th, 2026 The NSL News expects changes to the NSL Power Rankings now more than ever, as the first previews of the major events are being published even before the FAI/ISC registration deadline has passed. It is not only the positioning of the teams expected to participate that remains subject to change, as the NSL News continues to receive feedback and advice from some of the most experienced competitors and coaches in the sport. Joey Marshall pointed out correctly during NSL Live Talk on April 1st that the NSL Power Rankings are based on “speculative predictions,” much like rankings and forecasts... (more)
News Article Did you know that 8-way competition could miss the three FS Powerhouses from France, Russia and Qatar?
posted: May 14th, 2026 The 8-way competition at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 attracted an impressive field of 13 teams, a significant increase compared to the FAI Indoor World Championship 2019 (6 teams) and last year's edition. There had never been an official FAI Indoor World Cup in 8-way formation skydiving before the event held last month at Weembi Lille, and participation was naturally higher at a World Cup, where up to four teams can represent each country in formation skydiving competition. The 8-way national teams at the Indoor World Cup 2026 represented seven different countries. However, the reduction of... (more)
News Article Did you know that the 4-way Women outdoor leaderboard could be small but competitive?
posted: May 13th, 2026 The run-up to the Outdoor World Championship in formation skydiving competition has now begun across all events. Following the conclusion of the indoor season at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026, the NSL News is taking the same closer look at the current situation in 4-way Women as it did in its first preview of the 4-way Open Class. The overview in 4-way Women is easier to assess than in 4-way Open, mainly because participation numbers have been significantly lower. Only five countries sent national teams in this category to the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2024, which is not unusual for the... (more)
News Article Did you know that there is more pressure on Golden Knights than on NMP PCH HayaBusa?
posted: May 12th, 2026 The latest NSL Live Talk conversation with Gary Smith was published by the NSL News on March 20th. He and NMP PCH HayaBusa captain Dennis Praet followed up with a preview of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 on March 24th. Since then, his evaluation of the indoor competition at Weembi Lille has still been missing, even though such post-event analysis is usually a significant part of the aftermath following major competitions. He also missed the Shamrock Showdown 2026 - 1st Bob Hallett Memorial in his former hometown of DeLand, Florida, which means there has not yet been an opportunity to discuss... (more)
