News Article Did you know that the X-Dogs may challenge CTR Optimum this year?
posted: May 26th, 2011 The NSL News mentioned the Brazilian national 4-way team of the last seven years, CTR Optimum, the last time on 1 March 2011. Two teams from Brazil, X-Dogs and Fenix, had competed at the Valentine's Meet 2011, and CTR member André Ferraz was coaching them. His own team has not attended any international meets since the World Meet 2008 in Maubeuge, France. The NSL News has still covered developments in Brazil, including the CTR personnel change in 2009. The new CTR Optimum lineup (Ziara Abud, André Ferraz, Daiton Ribeiro, Renato Acerbi) won the national title in 2009 with a 14.3 average... (more)
News Article Did you know that the World Team jumps jets into the future?
posted: May 25th, 2011 The NSL News story on 26 March 2011 included an update of the Dubai 500 project. Dan BC provided an overview of the current situation on his side. The same story mentioned that BJ Worth is also on the road to a new big-way world record with his World Team. He is gathering his international big-way experts who have been setting world records with him several times in the past. The NSL News followed up with a big-way story when BJ and many World Team members visited DeLand for the Flight of the Phoenix and completed the challenging 192-way formation. News Article Did you know that last weekend featured three generations of MESL leadership?
posted: May 24th, 2011 The NSL News reported on 21 May 2011 that Tenacity members would compete in Florida and the Mideast at the same time last weekend. It really happened, even though the actual team name does not appear on any of last weekend's leaderboards. However, Jenacity comes pretty close to the original team name. The NSL News assumes that the "J" at the beginning of the name is somehow related to substitute "J"ohn Hart "J"r. who filled a slot for a missing Tenacity member. News Article Did you know that the Cross Keys Rookies are ready to come back for more?
posted: May 23rd, 2011 The small May meet of the Florida Skydiving League at Skydive Miami produced great content for a few updates from Homestead, and it was only one part of last weekend's first multi-event weekend this year. Three other meets were scheduled for the same weekend, and new scores have been added to the leaderboard. Five teams attended the May meey of the MidAtlantic Skydiving League at Cross Keys. Three A Class teams posted scores in Virginia, and the results from Start Skydiving, host of the Mideast Skydiving League meets, will be added later. News Article Did you know that Fred Whitsitt and Pam Manos take good care of their students in Homestead?
posted: May 22nd, 2011 The NSL News has another update coming from the visit at Homestead where Skydive Miami was hosting the first "FSL Going South" summer meet. The scores of the two teams have been posted, and the NSL News had the opportunity to spend some time with the DZ management, Fred Whitsitt and Pam Manos. Fred Whitsitt was a member of DeLand Equanimity, the South African national 4-way team, that won the bronze medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 1997 in Turkey. News Article Did you know that Tenacity members compete in Mideast and Florida this weekend?
posted: May 21st, 2011 Coincidence brings together team mates of the 2010 season in two different lineups this weekend. The Florida Skydiving League visits Skydive Miami in Homestead, while the Mideast Skydiving League launches its 2011 season at Start Skydiving at the same time. Jane McGuire trained and competed with Tenacity last year, an all-female lineup of the Mideast Skydiving League at Start Skydiving. Tenacity attended two MESL meets in 2010 and then took the 5th place of 31 AA/Intermediate Class teams at the USPA Nationals 2010 with a 10.3. average.
