Did you know that awards list at the Z-Scrambles is almost as long as the leaderboard? posted: Jun 8th, 2011 The NSL News story on 29 May 2011 reported that 14 teams participated at this year's Z-Scrambles at Skydive City in Zephyrhills, Florida. It took a little bit longer than expected until the event report can be completed now with scores and more details.
Teiwaz and the SinnerZ launched the Z-Weekend with the first scores on Saturday. Several of the players on Saturday then continued on Sunday for additional four rounds in the Z-Scrambles.

Did you know that Russia has a strong delegation for the World Cup 2011? posted: Jun 7th, 2011 The first week in August will bring the biggest international meet of the 2011 season to the NSL News audience, the World Cup 2011, which will be hosted by Germany this year. The NSL News will provide live coverage from the competition site in Saarlouis.
The total number of currently registered teams is already higher compared to the World Cup 2009 in Prostejov, Czech Republic, where the NSL News was also live on site. 29 teams competed in 4-way in 2009, plus five 8-way teams. 28 teams are pre-registered in 4-way for this year's event, additional ten teams plan to compete in 8-way.

Did you know that the Usual Suspects left the 14-average mark behind? posted: Jun 6th, 2011 The Northern German Championship 2011 came to a happy end, even though the weather forecast was not very promising for Sunday. The five teams completed all ten rounds before pouring rain stopped the whole skydiving operation later in the afternoon.
Final Four DeLand defended the title successfully and had the opportunity to impress the German 4-way community even more with good scores in the last three rounds. This story did not have a happy end though, as the team did not perform on the expected level and even lost one round to the Usual Suspects.

Did you know that Monaco Rebootizer Aerial is the busiest competition team of the year so far? posted: Jun 5th, 2011 The Northern German Championships 2011 has been stalled by weather after seven rounds. Final Four DeLand may not have the opportunity to complete a 10-round competition this weekend.
In the meantime, teams in France have completed the first meet of the Coupe de France 2011. This competition began earlier last week and applied a separate competition draw, which will be added later to the event's leaderboard.
Six teams competed in the AAA Class competition, and additional 18 teams posted scores in the French intermediate class, which applies different rules and a different competition draw,... (more)
Did you know that Yellow, Young and Beautiful competitors completed seven rounds in Germany? posted: Jun 4th, 2011 The first scores of this weekend's meets are from Germany where five teams compete in the AAA Class for the Northern German Championship 2011 title. Final Four DeLand is far ahead in 1st place, and the Usual Suspects own the 2nd place. Both teams have been on the NSL leaderboard in the past.
Meet Director Mathias "Mausi" Maushake reported that four of the five teams were dealing with injuries. Two Ususal Suspects have problems with their backs, another team member has a bad shoulder, and the last one jumps with a torn ligament in his foot. Only the Usual Suspect on camera is healthy.

Did you know that Team Bodyflight Aerodyne consists of world champions and twin sisters? posted: Jun 3rd, 2011 The NSL News has introduced several national teams in the female category of 4-way competition after the last World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 in Menzelinsk, Russia.
All three medal winners (France, United Kingdom, USA) had personnel changes at the end of the 2010 season. This counts actually for all teams in the female 4-way category, except Polaris from Norway. Several NSL News stories explained how the lineups have changed.
