posted: Mar 11th, 2011 New arrivals at the dropzone in DeLand today included the French national team in the Open Class, Aerodyne Aerokart Maubeuge, and UK team SonicNutz. They started their training camps in preparation for the Shamrock Showdown 2011, which begins with Round 1 on Friday morning, March 18th. French coach Marin Ferre is now working with both 4-way teams, which keeps him and packing master Fred "Toshiba" Leroux busy enough. posted: Mar 10th, 2011 NMP-PCH Hayabusa made it to DeLand eventually, after an interesting travel adventure from Belgium to Florida. Rainy weather on the first day after arrival allowed the Belgian national team to meet with the NSL News for a live chat where the team members tell their travel story. The video of the NSL Talk also includes another clip that new Hayabusa member Dennis Praet put together after the Aerokart Indoor Championship 2011 where his team finished with a 29.8 average after ten indoor rounds. posted: Mar 9th, 2011 The next preview of the Shamrock Showdown 2011 features new arrivals in DeLand, with a few new teams and faces, while the training activities continue. The delegation from Denmark is complete, with Bodyflight Voluntas and Bodyflight Atlas picking up the training. Atlas, the new B-Team, has to wait until one member recovers from a stomach flu, while Voluntas was working with coach Solly Williams this morning. Other news came from Russia. posted: Mar 8th, 2011 The Shamrock Showdown 2011 is now only ten days away, and Skydive DeLand is getting busier by the hour. The event's home page was recently updated and includes the schedule for the 3-day competition, which begins on Thursday evening with the reception and live competition draw at the Clarion Hotel DeLand. CamScore will provide the judging and DZ-TV services. Skydive DeLand will set up large TV screens for the audience, so the first competition jumps of the world's three top contenders can be seen everywhere. Did you know that NSL-TV presents the VFS 4-way teams and tunnel big-ways at Paraclete?
posted: Mar 7th, 2011 The NSL News mentioned the Vertical Formation Skydiving competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Skydiving Championships 2011 once during the live coverage, on 6 February 2011. It was an update after Round 7 in the VFS 4-way competition where SDC Standard was three points ahead of Team4Speed. The same story included a video clip of the Best Trick competition in Freeflying. The NSL News was actually planning to report the VFS 4-way competition more comprehensively. posted: Mar 6th, 2011 The NSL News story on 7 January 2011 was covering the internal Russian 4-way competition at the Dubai Championship 2011. The Russian story stopped short, as it was written after the scores of Round 2 were posted. However, the final results still did not change much. In fact, the four Russian teams were in the same internal Russian rankings after Round 8 as they were after Round 2.
