Did you know that the USPA 4way Open Class Poll had the wrong question? posted: Oct 14th, 2011 Okay, it was not the correct question. There does not seem to be a doubt who will win the USPA Nationals 2011 in the 4way Open Class competition. Arizona Airspeed was written all over the poll results that the NSL News included with the story on 12 October 2011.
The question and the poll has now been defined differently to make it more interesting for the audience. The new poll, which is also open at the 4way Open Class page of the USPA Nationals 2011 coverage, allows the voter to pick the three teams who will be in the medal positions at the end of the meet. The same five teams are the available... (more)
Did you know that new World Cup 4way videos feature the bronze medal drama of Round 10? posted: Oct 13th, 2011 The 4way videos of Round 10 in the Open Class at the World Cup 2011 are now available for reviews, and they feature another thriller that took place before the 8way weather drama in Round 9 concluded the whole event.
The competition for the gold medals was decided earlier in the meet, and Aerodyne Aerokart carried a 6-point victory over the finish line after a safe and casual approach to the fastest sequence of the meet (N,F,A,7) in Round 10. It was no surprise that NMP-PCH Hayabusa had an opportunity to win this round since the French team would surely not take any chances at this point in... (more)
Did you know that Arizona Airspeed is still the USPA top contender in 4way? posted: Oct 12th, 2011 The NSL News has recently given the World Cup 2011 a lot of attention, and there were more than enough reasons for that. The coverage is not over yet, especially as the videos of Round 10 in the 4way Open Class are still to come.
Unfortunately, the coverage did not include much of the US 4way competition at all since no team competed in the 4way Open Class. This leaves out a big part of the 4way world where US teams are always in contention for top positions. Only the Golden Knights competed for the USA in 8way and in the female 4way category in Germany.
One of the best US 4way teams was... (more)
Did you know that John McIver is the most successful national 4-way competitor in the United Kingdom? posted: Oct 11th, 2011 The NSL News covered the UK Nationals 2011 with several stories. The event was the biggest outdoor competition of the 2011 season so far and deserved the extensive coverage. Only the upcoming USPA Nationals 2011 could still beat the UK number of 55 teams.
There is still one story that has not received enough attention yet, and it comes along with a new NSL Profile. John McIver, original member of Sebastian XL and current UK 4way champion with Satori, celebrated his 13th national 4way gold medal at the UK Nationals 2011.
He was not alone with this kind of special achievement. UK competitor... (more)
Did you know that all videos of Round 9 complete the 8way coverage of the World Cup 2011? posted: Oct 10th, 2011 NSL-TV finishes up the 8way coverage of the World Cup 2011 with the competition videos of Round 9 and the last and complete extended leaderboard. The point deductions in the final round did not have an impact on the standings for any of the teams. However, the final round of the competition still created the most controversial situation of the whole event.
It turned out that Round 9 would be the last round in 8way, as the weather deteriorated minute by minute, while the 8way teams tried to finish the competition. Round 9 was barely completed, as the last videos of of the 8way competition show.... (more)
Did you know that 9 teams competed at the DK Indoor Championship 2011? posted: Oct 9th, 2011 Nine teams from Denmark traveled to the United Kingdom this weekend to attend the second annual national indoor championships at Bodyflight Bedford, host of the World Challenge 2011.
The same number of teams competed at the inaugural event in 2010, only the numers of teams per category were reversed. Five teams competed in the AAA Class last year, while the A Class was the slightly more popular category this year.
Last year's A Class winner Contrails (11.0) moved up into the AAA Class and finished with a 9.4 average this weekend. Team Retro was the only other A Class team of 2010 and increased... (more)
