News Article Did you know that the UK Nationals might now be the biggest in the world?
posted: Aug 18th, 2010 The NSL News published a preview of the UK Nationals 2010 with the story on 12 August 2010. The story focused mostly on the re-match between Satori and Team Bodyflight after the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010. Satori won the national 4-way title with a significantly larger difference to Team Bodyflight in 2nd place. Only one single point had separated both teams at the World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk, Satori was now 19 points ahead after last weekend's ten rounds. However, much more was going on in Hibaldstow, and Kaizen member Jo Hawley was an eye witness at the competition... (more)
News Article Did you know that the ArchRivals are the most improved MWSL team?
posted: Aug 17th, 2010 SDC Rhythm XP received special attention after posting a 21.2 average at last weekend's third meet of the Midwest Skydiving League 2010 season. The NSL News also provided earlier Rhythm videos with the story on 15 August 2010. The same story did not cover the other scores and teams at the same event. MWSL Director Alan Butt now followed up with a more detailed meet report that pointed out as one of the highlights the most improved team of the meet, the new Rookie Class competitors of the ArchRivals. He also mentioned that Chicagoland Skydiving celebrated a very special anniversary. The skydiving... (more)
News Article Did you know that 93 teams competed in 4-way last weekend?
posted: Aug 16th, 2010 The second leaderboard of last weekend's meets has grown with scores from Finland. It was a record weekend. The combination of both leaderboards would cumulate to the total of 93 teams competing on the same weekend. That is a quite amazing number, and the 100 seems to be in reach, probably next year. The UK Nationals 2010 was the biggest contributor with a total of 54 teams alone. 25 Rookie Class teams joined the competition and provide a solid foundation for the future of the new Formation Skydiving powerhouse on the British islands. Martin Soulsby, BPA's former manager of the United Kingdom... (more)
News Article Did you know that there are two different leaderboards this weekend?
posted: Aug 15th, 2010 The record participation at the UK Nationals 2010, with the re-match between Satori and Team Bodyflight after the first UK showdown at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010, has been dominating the NSL Leaderboard this weekend. However, there is another leaderboard of the same weekend that offers additional scores. The UK Nationals 2010 had its own competition draw, which was celebrated live before the beginning of the meet and done manually. The usual NSL competition draw for the weekend brought together the teams from Norway, Brazil and the Midwest Skydiving League. This leaderboard... (more)
News Article Did you know that Norway's national 4-way teams have to put up with the DeLand Norgies this weekend?
posted: Aug 13th, 2010 The situation in Norway is almost exactly the same as in the United Kingdom this weekend. X3M4S Elements competed for Norway in the Open Class 4-way competition of the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010, Polaris represented Norway in the female 4-way category. This weekend, they will be ranked on the same leaderboard at the national championships. The indirect competition between the two Norwegian teams was not as close as the UK 1-point race between Satori and Team Bodyflight. However, only four points separated X3M4S Elements and Polaris after eight rounds. Norway's Open Class... (more)
News Article Did you know that Team Bodyflight and Satori continue their UK battle this weekend?
posted: Aug 12th, 2010 The competition at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 is over. However, several teams have only a short break before they compete again at national championships. This weekend has two of those events on the agenda, and they include a very interesting situation. The 4-way teams at the World Meet were separated into the Open and the Female category. Most of the nations don't copy the two different IPC competition classes at their national championships. All 4-way teams are ranked and the scores are posted on the same leaderboard, including the national 4-way teams that competed... (more)
