News Article Did you know that the 4way teams in Dubai have completed two rounds?
posted: Dec 1st, 2011 The leaderboard is almost complete at the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011, at least with the scores of Round 1. The teams have completed two rounds, but the judging and DZ-TV system is struggling to keep up with the action, despite the slow pace for the teams. However, the scores of Round 1 show how exciting this competition will be. Both US teams probably decided to focus on their own internal race for the bronze medals and $20,000 rather than trying to take chances and chase Aerodyne Aerokart and/or NMP-PCH Hayabusa. The top teams from France and Belgium have launched their own race and don't... (more)
News Article Did you know that the sequences of Round 1 and Round 8 will tell a lot in Dubai?
posted: Dec 1st, 2011 The competition draw of the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011 has been posted, thanks again to the quick and reliable news service by Qatar Falcons and Paratec-Saar member Max Thiele. In fact, the 4way teams have even completed Round 1, and the judging is in progress. He said that Perris Fury completed 29 points in working time and lost one point for a 28-pointer as the official score. The complete scores for Round 1 will be posted very soon. Round 1 has probably the fastest sequence of the 8-round competition draw and will separate the top teams from the rest of the field right from the start.... (more)
News Article Did you know that the competition draw is postponed until tomorrow in Dubai?
posted: Nov 30th, 2011 Back to the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011 where Wednesday was the official training day, as NSL News correspondent Max Thiele reported earlier. First, strong winds and low clouds did not allow much training for the 4way teams. The clouds disappeared eventually, however, the stronger winds kept most of the teams on the ground. Craig Girard used the opportunity to recruit a high-profile group of experienced competitors who could handle the weather conditions and practice for the 40way celebration jump that the NSL News mentioned earlier. The members of the top teams in Dubai (Aerodyne Aerokart,... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights have a flawless 8way progression since 2009?
posted: Nov 29th, 2011 It is difficult for the NSL News to keep up with all the events that provide so much content and footage for stories. The coverage of the USPA Nationals 2011 was far from complete when SkyQuest 2011 required new attention. Then the ISR Grand Prix followed just a week later, and the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011 is coming up in a few days. The NSL News barely managed to cover the 4way Open Class competition of the USPA Nationals with the videos of all ten rounds before moving on, and there are several other topics in the Open Class that deserve additional attention. Then there are the Advanced... (more)
News Article Did you know that the NSL News starts the preview of the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011?
posted: Nov 28th, 2011 The NSL News mentioned yesterday that NMP-PCH Hayabusa could not try to defend the gold medals at the ISR Grand Prix 2011 since the Belgian team is already in Dubai to go after the $40,000 for the 1st place in the Open Class competition. The NSL News now shifts the attention very quickly from Roosendaal in the Netherlands to the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011. Max Thiele, 4way bronze medal winner at the World Cup 2011 with Paratec-Saar, is still filling a slot for the Falcons lineup of the Qatar teams who also competed at the USPA Nationals 2011. He provides some insights live from Dubai where... (more)
News Article Did you know that Thunder showed world class at ISB Air Remscheid's comeback in Rosendaal?
posted: Nov 27th, 2011 Another high-profile 4way competition took place before the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011 brings together many world class teams. Indoor Skydiving Roosendaal, the 14-footer windtunnel in the Netherlands, held the annual ISR Grand Prix on Saturday. NMP-PCH Hayabusa won the meet in 2010 with a 32.9 average but could not attend this weekend since the Belgian team is in Dubai to race once again for the top position in the world with Aerodyne Aerokart from France. In fact, no Dubai team was in Roosendaal, as the 2011 schedule of both events made that impossible. However, Roosendaal still registered... (more)
