News Article Did you know that DeLand Shmeland may just need another year to catch Mass Defiance?
posted: Nov 27th, 2010 The NSL News reported on 22 November 2010 that DeLand Shmeland won the NSL Shugar Cup this year, the AAA Class trophy of the NSL Championship. It was a well deserved reward for Sally Hathaway (Tail), Rodney Cruce (Center Inside), Jim "Bu" Klinge (Center Outside) and Ari Perelman (Point) who have been the best unofficial US amateur team of the 2010 season. Albert Berchtold was filming Shmeland at SkyQuest 2010, and his meet videos of all rounds can now be reviewed on NSL-TV. Patrick Walker was the Shmeland videographer when the team posted the 18.1 average at the USPA Nationals 2010, which... (more)
News Article Did you know that Teiwaz Falcon had a very colorful lineup at SkyQuest?
posted: Nov 26th, 2010 The NSL News reported on 22 November 2010 that DeLand Shmeland won the NSL Shugar Cup this year. It was not a gift, even though the final leaderboard after seven rounds shows Shmeland 14 points ahead in 1st place. Teiwaz had put together a colorful Falcon lineup to offer some resistance in the AAA Class competition, and it is worth taking a closer look at the team members. Teiwaz Falcon's first jump together was Round 1 in the meet, and it was surprising how close to Shmeland the pickup team managed to stay. Falcon lost a lot of points due to video angles, as videographer Jose Melendez was... (more)
News Article Did you know that a new live NSL Talk presents BJ Worth at SkyQuest?
posted: Nov 25th, 2010 It was about time for this live NSL Talk. The NSL News has been working together with BJ Worth for many years, at least once per year in the last decade. That's whenever SkyQuest came up, the skydiving event that was launched as a parachuting air show at Fantasy of Flight in 2001. However, BJ Worth has also been very active for many years in pushing and forming the future of Formation Skydiving competition, both as the President of the International Parachuting Commission (IPC) and also as a long-time member of the IPC Formation Skydiving Committee. The NSL News has received a lot of IPC updates... (more)
News Article Did you know that Jérémie Rollett introduces the new French female lineup?
posted: Nov 24th, 2010 The NSL News mentioned earlier that France has a new female 4-way lineup for the next two years. Two of the reigning world champions, Bérangère Duplouy and Françoise Simons-Hamouchi, who won their first gold medals at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 and set new standards for female 4-way competition, will not continue next year. Videographer Christophe Chekroun is also not coming back with the new lineup. The two returning members, Sophie Deremaux and Amélie Tirman, will guide a new lineup for the next two years. The complete lineup of 2008 and 2010 still gets another... (more)

China and Sweden did not complete Round 10, as both teams were officially eliminated after the semifinal Round 9. The Norwegian Polaris lineup had ist best round of the meet and outscored USA and Germany both in the last round of the meet. This must have been motivating and encouraging for Polaris, and it makes the team look forward to the new 2-year period. The same lineup has committed to continue for two more years, and the results in Menzelinsk... (more)
News Article Did you know that DeLand Shmeland won the NSL Shugar Cup this year?
posted: Nov 22nd, 2010 The NSL Championship 2010 had its greatest competition in the AA Class. Perris Jimani, with Perris Fury member Christy Frikken, won the AA Class title for the 4th consecutive time. Once again, Jimani had to work hard for the AA Class trophy and the gold medals. In fact, this year's victory came after the tightest competition of all four meets. The meet was over after nine rounds, and FSC Wind Damaged had kept up with Jimani at the team's second reunion of the 2010 season. Teiwaz Eagle had made Jimani's 2-point victory at the NSL Championship 2009 difficult enough. This time, Jimani had no... (more)
