NSL News Coverage of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2024

Did You Know...

... that NSL-TV completes the Dubai coverage with Rounds 7 and 8?

posted Dec 23rd, 2011 - The video coverage of the duel between Aerodyne Aerokart and NMP-PCH Hayabusa at the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011 was almost complete when the SDC Rhythm XP tryouts began and took all the attention of the NSL News.

There is still more to come, as the aftermath of the tryouts will get additional attention. However, it is time to squeeze in the last two rounds of the Dubai showdown between France and Belgium. SDC Rhythm XP and Perris Fury competed at the same event, as well, and both teams were then directly and indirectly part of the Rhythm tryouts coverage...

Rhythm and Fury were not involved in the race for the 1st place this time, and both teams will miss the next competition in Dubai. Only the national teams will be invited to compete at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving, which will also be a Mondial with all other skydiving disciplines next year in December.

Arizona Airspeed is the US national team for the 2012 season and will travel to Dubai, while SDC Rhythm XP will use the 2012 season to train with the new lineup and catch up with Airspeed. The NSL News mentioned earlier that the new Airspeed lineup has competed directly with France and Belgium at an outdoor meet only once, at the Shamrock Showdown 2011, while France and Belgium continued to push each other to higher levels two more times this year.

Aerodyne Aerokart has already confirmed the attendance at the Shamrock Showdown 2012, together with the Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders and several other international world class teams. The event will most likely and once again include the first matchup between the three best 4way teams in the world.

Airspeed won clearly and easily in March 2011, but things have changed in the meantime. It is very unlikely that Airspeed is still as far ahead of France and Belgium as it was the case at the beginning of the 2011 season. The NSL News will soon take a closer look at the numbers. The scores of the USPA Nationals 2011 and Dubai can be compared indirectly, as two teams competed at both events, SDC Rhythm XP and Perris Fury. The results after crunching the numbers will tell more about the positions of the three top teams in the world before the next showdown on the Shamrock weekend in March 2012.
