Did you know that 35 teams competed at the annual SkyVenture New Hampshire Indoor Competition? posted: Dec 20th, 2011 The SDC Rhythm XP tryouts were not the only recent indoor event. Mass Defiance member Ben Liston once again put together the annual windtunnel competition at SkyVenture New Hampshire, which was held on December 10th this year, the weekend before Rhythm invited their candidates for the selection of the team's new Center Inside.
One of the candidates, Rodney Cruce, competed at the indoor meet and won the AAA Class with a 22.0 average after ten rounds. DeLand Shmeland also had Sally Hathaway, Ari Perelman and James "Bu" Klinge in the lineup. The first three places in the AAA/Open Class went to... (more)
Did you know that Denmark has selected the three 4way project lineups for 2012? posted: Dec 19th, 2011 The SDC Rhythm XP tryouts last weekend relate to more than only the future of the bronze medalist at the 3rd Dubai Championship 2011. Each candidate brought a separate career story to the Rhythm table, even though Christy Frikken's and Chris Farina's are very similar.
The NSL News introduced each candidate briefly, and Flemming Borup Andersen from Denmark related to Bodyflight Voluntas, Denmark's national 4way team. Flemming Borup Andersen was a member for three years (2009 - 2011) and still continued with the team in 2011 after joining Perris Blitz and while he prepared his move to the USA.

Did you know that there was a 5th candidate at the SDC Rhythm XP tryouts? posted: Dec 18th, 2011 Chris Farina is the favorite candidate of the SDC Rhythm XP tryouts so far, at least for the NSL News audience and according to the first results of the new NSL Poll.
The results page also has the option for comments, and a visitor asked for information about the 5th candidate. Yes, there was another candidate, as the NSL News mentioned earlier. NSL News reporter Kurt Gaebel had his turn at the very end of the tryouts day, and there was no time to process the footage and information.
In fact, Chris Farina's story had higher priority to keep the correct order and came first on Saturday. The... (more)
Did you know that only Rodney Cruce and Chris Farina were in their original slots at the SDC Rhythm XP tryouts? posted: Dec 17th, 2011 Chris Farina was in his original slot at the SDC Rhythm XP tryouts. He has been Center Inside for many years and for thousands of jumps, the last seven years with Perris Fury, together with Christy Frikken. He drove the Fury engine from the very beginning to the top 4way level in the world. Rodney Cruce and Chris Farina were the only two candidates who had the advantage of the "home slot".
It was also slightly easier for the former Fury engine to keep up with the Rhythm 3way. Thiago Gomes, JaNette and Steve Lefkowitz had three very intensive flying sessions behind where they all had 30 minutes... (more)
Did you know that Flemming Borup Andersen from Denmark was the 3rd tryout candidate for SDC Rhythm XP? posted: Dec 16th, 2011 The third session of the SDC Rhythm XP tryouts for the open Center Inside slot brought Flemming Borup Andersen's from Denmark into the game and into the flying chamber.
The former Bodyflight Voluntas member explained to the NSL News during Rodney Cruce's flying session how he had prepared himself for the new slot.
The Danish top competitor was the Center Outside for Voluntas, Denmark's national team that finished in 11th place at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010 with a 19.0 average. Now he had to fly the Center Inside slot for SDC Rhythm XP.
Flemming Borup Andersen has... (more)
Did you know that Christy Frikken had the second tryout session at Paraclete XP? posted: Dec 16th, 2011 The NSL News mentioned with the first announcement of the SDC Rhythm XP tryouts on 15 December 2011 that "there are more candidates now and some of them with high profiles..."
This mention was related to the fact that the Rhythm 2009 tryouts had only three candidates, and none of them came from a higher scoring and performance level compared to Rhythm's team history.
This is very different this time. There was a selection process that included a good number of potential candidates who came from all kind of talent and experience levels.
The field of candidates also had top talent, such... (more)
