Did you know that the 222way Florida State Record attempts are in full swing in DeLand? posted: Mar 30th, 2012 The NSL News makes another excursion to the bigway world. The story on 28 March 2012 reported the German 231way recently built in Eloy, Arizona, and the current project in DeLand to build a 222way Florida State Record.
Organizer BJ Worth invited official judges to make sure that a successful 222way will go into the records. USPA Judge Marylou Laughlin and Jerry Bird are in charge of counting the number of connected bigway fans, but there is much more behind the job. They also have to make sure that the participants are registered properly before they are boarding the nine jump planes.

Did you know that the NSL News crunched the NMP-PCH Hayabusa numbers? posted: Mar 29th, 2012 The NSL News mentioned earlier that NMP-PCH Hayabusa has moved dangerously close to the reigning 4way world champions from France, Aerodyne Aerokart, and to the arguably best 4way team in the world at the moment, Arizona Airspeed. In fact, Hayabusa has not moved close to the French team but won the 2nd place at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012, with only Airspeed five points ahead.
It is not the first time that Hayabusa defeated the French national team at an outdoor competition. It happened the first time at the World Cup 2007 after a jump-off Round 11 that Hayabusa won by one point.... (more)
Did you know that German skydivers missed a new official bigway world record by two slots? posted: Mar 28th, 2012 A group of German bigway experts, organized by former 4way and 8way champion Dieter Kirsch, recently traveled to Skydive Arizona to challenge the Russian world record for the largest formation with only national participants. Russian skydivers accomplished their mission with a completed 201way in August 2011.
The German group spent eight days in Eloy to improve their own best number of 200, which was done in 2008, and to post a bigger number than Russia for the biggest national formation ever. The Germans first built a 210way, then a 229way and finished the bigway project with a 231way.

Did you know that the largest leaderboard in NSL history is coming up soon? posted: Mar 27th, 2012 The aftermath of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 continues with the next preview of the World Challenge 2012.
Eleven of the 19 AAA Class teams at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship will also compete at Bodyflight Bedford in less than two weeks. There were nine teams who completed the same double header in 2011, and six of them do it again this year: Arizona Airspeed, NMP-PCH Hayabusa, Aerodyne Aerokart, SDC Rhythm XP, Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders and Bodyflight Voluntas. SonicNutz and Fast Air, last year's visitors in DeLand, compete only in Bedford this year.

Did you know that Arizona Airspeed posted the second highest team average ever at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012? posted: Mar 26th, 2012 It's about time to make the latest Arizona Airspeed competition videos of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 available for the audience. The jumps were already uploaded during the live coverage shortly after the completion of a round, together with the videos of NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Aerodyne Aerokart.
It is still a special feast to watch all ten rounds that added up to the 26.6 average which stands for the highest meet average without a Super Sequence in the history of Formation Skydiving competition. Only the scores at the World Meet 2010 in Menzelinsk were higher, and that was due... (more)
Did you know that Perris Wicked needs a new Point? posted: Mar 25th, 2012 The NSL News reported on 22 February 2012 that the first Perris Wicked lineup was complete and introduced the second new team member, Christie Blomster. The other newly recruited Perris Wicked member, Kristen Johnson, had been introduced on 9 February 2012.
Christy Frikken recently informed the NSL News that one slot is open again, as Kristen Johnson does not continue with Perris Wicked. She and Hannah Betts are looking for a new member to fill the Point slot. Annie Peterson steps in for the Perris Wicked trip to the United Kingdom where the team will still compete at the World Challenge 2012.... (more)
