From DeLand to Bedford: Arizona Airspeed, NMP-PCH Hayabusa and Aerodyne Aerokart at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012
posted Mar 27th, 2012 - The aftermath of the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 continues with the next preview of the World Challenge 2012.

Eleven of the 19 AAA Class teams at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship will also compete at Bodyflight Bedford in less than two weeks. There were nine teams who completed the same double header in 2011, and six of them do it again this year: Arizona Airspeed, NMP-PCH Hayabusa, Aerodyne Aerokart, SDC Rhythm XP, Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders and Bodyflight Voluntas. SonicNutz and Fast Air, last year's visitors in DeLand, compete only in Bedford this year.

The two additional participants of this year's Spring Tour are the two Dubai lineups, Asaar Red and Asaar Gold, who step down into the AA Class competition at the World Challenge 2012.

Always a factor on the top of the leaderboard: XL
Arizona Airspeed and NMP-PCH Hayabusa switched positions after the Shamrock Showdown 2011 where Airspeed won the outdoor competition by 21 points over the Belgian team. Hayabusa won last year in Bedford by seven points and now reduced the outdoor distance to Airspeed to five points. Airspeed on the other side is eager to beat the Belgians at the indoor competition.

Aerodyne Aerokart was in 2nd place at the Shamrock Showdown 2011 and 3rd at the World Challenge 2011. The French 4way world champions now finished in 3rd place at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship and will find it difficult to improve this position at the upcoming indoor competition. They mentioned in a new interview, which is still to be posted, that they don't expect to win the indoor competition where XL will also be the usual factor for the top spots.

SDC Rhythm XP finished in 4th place in DeLand, only outscored by the three best 4way teams in the world. The distance to XL was significant last year in Bedford (25) and then down to 19 this year at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012. Rhythm has surely trained more than XL and may get below the 10-point difference soon in Bedford.

Complete Thunder lineup with substitute Thomas Hughes
Skydive Spain Satori (8th), Aerodyne Deep Blue Defenders (9th) and Thunder (10th) had their internal battle for the 8th place at the World Challenge 2011. Thunder and Satori switched positions at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship, while the French national female lineup compared well to the Open Class scores.

Thunder still has to show that the international team can maintain position and scoring level without Airspeed substitute Thomas Hughes. Satori, on the other side, will have the complete lineup back together in Bedford, as long as Tail Aaron Faith is allowed to enter the Bodyflight Bedford building...

Polaris outscored Bodyflight Voluntas at the World Challenge 2011 and did it again, even more clearly, in DeLand. There are a lot of open accounts for the upcoming indoor competition, and the NSL News will try follow the many internal battles as much as possible - on a leaderboard that will be the largest ever on the NSL website...
