posted: Jul 25th, 2012 Not only the Karp Cup of the MidAtlantic Skydiving League was weathered out last weekend. Golden Knight Laura Dickmeyer also reported that the Carolina Skydiving League fell victim to the weather situation on the east coast of the United States. The Southern California Skydiving League has not been much luckier during the complete first half of the 2012 season. Neither Skydive Elsinore nor Skydive Perris were able to pull off a successful meet so far. News Article Did you know that the NWSL teams were challenged by the exits?
posted: Jul 24th, 2012 After getting weathered out of the meet that was scheduled in June, the Northwest Skydiving League held its first meet in years on July 21 at Skydive Snohomish. NWSL Director Deb Coreia reported that the forecast was not looking favorable. However, several teams still showed up on Friday night to receive the draw and walk and creep the dives. The plan was not much different for Saturday morning, as Deb coreia explained: "We planned to meet at 9am, knowing that most likely we'd have a good opportunity to continue to walk and creep the dives, which turned out to be the case." News Article Did you know that FSL teams and competitors are now waiting for NWSL scores?
posted: Jul 23rd, 2012 The new leaderboard of last weekend's events begins to take shape, even though the weather did not make it very easy. Teams in Florida managed to complete several rounds, while the Karp Cup of the MidAtlantic Skydiving League was completely weathered out. MASL Director Dennis Miller reported that six teams were ready for action, and only two of them were able to do the first round. Two additional teams had cancelled earlier due to the forecast, and it turned out to be a wise decision, as the Karp Cup was officially postponed after five hours of weather hold. News Article Did you know that seven Satori teams competed this weekend in Hibaldstow?
posted: Jul 21st, 2012 Skydive Hibaldstow, host of the UK Nationals 2012 in August, hosted a test meet this weekend that attracted a total of 31 teams for a final inspection of their competition skills. Both national 4way teams, Satori in the Open Class and Bodyflight Aerodyne Langar in the female 4way category, attended the competition. It was the second outdoor meet for Bodyflight Aerodyne Langar this year, and the national team increased the meet average from 13.3 in June to 15.7 this weekend. News Article Did you know that there is more Fun Flag footage from the World Challenge 2012?
posted: Jul 20th, 2012 This year's coverage of the Fun Flag began at the World Challenge 2012 and continued a few weeks after the end of the event at Bodyflight Bedford with an update from Germany and Italy on 20 April 2012. The last update mentioned that "the Just4Fun members first presented the Fun Flag on stage during the award ceremony and then shared it with other female 4way competitors for photo ops and a late night presentation in the FlowHouse". The story includes a short video clip that shows a part of the "late night presentation" in the FlowHouse. The Fun Flag had surely returned to its original purpose... (more)
