Did You Know...

... that seven Satori teams competed this weekend in Hibaldstow?

Picking up the pace: Bodyflight Aerodyne Langar
posted Jul 21st, 2012 - Skydive Hibaldstow, host of the UK Nationals 2012 in August, hosted a test meet this weekend that attracted a total of 31 teams for a final inspection of their competition skills.

Both national 4way teams, Satori in the Open Class and Bodyflight Aerodyne Langar in the female 4way category, attended the competition. It was the second outdoor meet for Bodyflight Aerodyne Langar this year, and the national team increased the meet average from 13.3 in June to 15.7 this weekend.

Satori's scores have not been posted yet. UK's Open Class team was too busy guiding their Satori Academy teams through the meet and completed their own six rounds by the end of the day. The Satori scores will be added later to the leaderboard.

Satori Academy teams at a training camp
A total of seven Satori teams competed in Hibaldstow, including the national lineup, and the Satori Academy project is obviously growing rapidly. Three of the lineups competed in the A Class and had a good internal race with each other.

The Green, Rainbow and Magenta lineups were separated by only eight points after six rounds. It was the second outdoor competition for the internal Satori A Class winner, Satori Green, who increased the team's meet average from 4.8 in June to 7.7 this weekend.

Satori Green did not make it to the three top rankings, as Atmosfear and Anti Gravity Ninja Swans have shown the same progression after an earlier start. Both teams had competed at the World Challenge 2012, and the Ninja Swans even joined the 4-meet club of the busiest competition teams this year. A Class winner Mental Box is a new lineup and was the only A Class team breaking through the 10-average level. Last year's A Class winner of the UK Nationals, High Altitude Heroes, needed a 11.3 average to win the gold medals...
