Did you know that Friday is a very busy training day at Weembi? posted: Mar 24th, 2017 Training for the French Indoor Nationals 2017 continued for ACM on Friday morning at Weembi. This time, the British team shared the training session with the French Weembi Girls.
Weembi member Roy Janssen was still working with ACM, while his team mate Mathieu Bernier resumed his own work as the French national coach work with the French Weembi Girls. ACM has a new Inside Center with Rich Rust who will also compete with ACM at the World Challenge 2017.

Did you know that eight 4-way world champions will fight a unique battle at Weembi this weekend? posted: Mar 23rd, 2017 The coverage of the U.S. outdoor showdown between Arizona Airspeed and SDC Rhythm XP was completed at the Shamrock Showdown 2017 last weekend, and the next 4-way treat is just around the corner.
The French Indoor Nationals 2017 at Weembi features the two best indoor 4-way teams in the world and probably in the history of the sport, NMP PCH HayaBusa and Weembi's signature lineup with Roy Janssen, Julien Degen, Mathieu and Guillaume Bernier.

Did you know that Adventure Flyers and Simba competed in new categories in DeLand? posted: Mar 22nd, 2017 The last two NSL-TV videos of the Shamrock Showdown 2017 feature the Adventure Flyers from Paraguay and AA Class team Simba, with Naila Novaronti from Indonesia in the point slot.
Simba has been training in DeLand for a few years, as team members Robert Chromy, Trevor Cedar, Rodrigo Espinosa and videographer Luke Evans are working at the drop zone. Team sponsor Naila Novaronti visits from Indonesia on a regular basis and her team mates take time off whenever she is available.
Simba started to compete in the Rookie Class at the NSL Championship 2014, which turned out to be an indoor competition... (more)
Did you know that the A Class competition at the World Challenge 2017 seems to be wide open? posted: Mar 21st, 2017 The A Class has always been a stepping stone for beginner 4-way teams to move from the required individual flying skills of the Rookie Class to the first technical challenges of the piece flying art in the dive pool.
The Rookie Class applies only the 16 random formations in 3-point sequences, while the A Class dive pool brings the first eight blocks to the teams. Two of the blocks (7 and 9) also require mostly individual skills, even though new challenges are added, such as cross-referencing and synchronization of individual turns.

Did you know that some competitors are still living the dream? posted: Mar 20th, 2017 It was a long time ago, I thought, that skydiving competitors lived the dream in more primitive ways than they do now. I was wrong.
I grew up as a skydiving competitor (OK, 4-way and 8-way freak) when times were different. The rules were still the dinosaur ones - with only random formation in one jump and set sequences of certain block flying maneuvers in the next one - when I attended my first meets and championships. Then some genius turned the FAI/IPC rules into what we have now, and the "modern era of Formation Skydiving Competition" began, as I have called it for a while. Thank you again... (more)
Did you know that four of the six teams at the Shamrock Showdown left DeLand with cash? posted: Mar 20th, 2017 The first jump of the second day at the Shamrock Showdown 2017 finalized the outcome of the first outdoor battle between Arizona Airspeed and SDC Rhythm XP.
Rhythm needed a good start into the second day to put more pressure on Airspeed after the 9-point difference. Saturday morning brought the opposite, as Airspeed added three more points to the lead in Round 7. Rhythm was back on eye level for the remaining three rounds, where both teams tied their totals. However, Skydive DeLand's $1,000 prize money for the AAA Class winner was safely in Airspeed hands.
