The competition has been as exciting as it had to be expected, even though Arizona Airspeed is nine points ahead of SDC Rhythm XP after Round 6.
The situation between the two U.S. top contenders was similar compared to the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship 2017 where Airspeed lost the meet in one single round, the first one of the competition. The problem in Round 1 caused a 7-point loss for Airspeed, which turned out to be too much to make up for.

The competition draw and meet briefing brought five of the six teams together for the first time. Parachute Montreal Fuzion needed the whole Thursday for the travel from Canada to Florida, and the big winter storm on the east coast almost came in the way of the team's visit.

However, the first outdoor showdown of the 2017 season between Arizona Airspeed and SDC Rhythm XP is happening, which has been anticipated for a while.
This special feature is still not the only exciting part of this year's Shamrock Showdown. The event also features Canada's national team in 4-way Women, Parachute Montreal Fuzion, who are back with the same lineup that placed 4th at the FAI Mondial 2016.

Did you know that the new power rankings for the World Challenge feature 32 AAA Class teams from 15 countries? posted: Mar 15th, 2017 It did not take too long until the answer to the Savolo question came. The Sun Path Products NSL News reported yesterday that South African 4-way competitor Andre van Heerden has joined Spaceland Lite for the 2017 season.
The same story mentioned that Andre van Heerden also competed for Savolo at the FAI Mondial 2014 and at the World Challenge 2016, while the South African national 4-way team was not registered for this year's indoor competition in Bedford.

The latest news of personnel changes came from Texas where Spaceland Lite has a new lineup for the 2017 season.
