posted: May 2nd, 2026 The outdoor competition season of the NSL 4-way Network traditionally begins with the Shamrock Showdown—this year held as the 1st Bob Hallett Memorial. Only the two currently strongest teams in the world, Aethers (FR) and Golden Knights (US), attended the memorial event at Skydive DeLand, despite the challenging schedule so soon after the completion of the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026. As in previous years, the Texas Skydiving League, led by TSL Director Scott Latinis, followed with its outdoor season opener last weekend at the Spaceland San Marcos Showdown. This year, however, the Texas teams... (more)

posted: May 1st, 2026 The final adjustments to the NSL Power Rankings for the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026 were made on the day before Rounds 1 and 2 were completed on April 8th. NMP PCH HayaBusa team captain Dennis Praet also found time for a new NSL Live Talk on the last day before the competition, and his insights contributed to shaping the latest version of the preview leaderboards. These “speculative predictions” made before the start of the competition turned out to be very close to the final results after all ten rounds in 4-way Open and 8-way Open were completed. Input from both experts and the audience... (more)

The high-level 4-way duel between Aethers and the Golden Knights at the Shamrock Showdown 2026 - 1st Bob Hallett Memorial initially drew most of the attention after the Indoor World Cup. Only later did the NSL News return to analyze the competition at Weembi Lille in greater detail. While the outstanding performance of the French 4-way... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Golden Knights attempted the first double-gold mission since 1985?
posted: Apr 28th, 2026 The recent French success at the FAI Indoor World Cup 2026, where the 4-way Open team Aethers joined forces with the 4-way Women team Nephtys to also claim 8-way gold, prompted NSL News to revisit previous double-gold attempts. French national coach Mathieu Bernier remains the only competitor in history to achieve double gold in 4-way Open and 8-way at the same FAI World Championship, which he accomplished in Menzelinsk 2010. Jeana Billings matched the feat in the 4-way Women and 8-way categories at Crystal Coast 2024. NSL News also highlighted that the Aethers/Nephtys combination at Weembi... (more)
News Article Did you know that the battle for the Top 10 lived up to expectations?
posted: Apr 27th, 2026 Securing a Top 10 position in 4-way Open at Indoor and Outdoor World Cups and World Championships is a valuable achievement. It brings together recreational or amateur teams competing just behind the limited number of teams able to train at a level required for medal contention. Traditionally, the most intense competition spans from 4th to 10th place. While most teams in 4-way Open consist of amateur competitors, additional medal contenders can emerge at any time. The Czech Skywalkers Most have made their ambitions clear: they are aiming not only for a medal in the coming years but also to challenge... (more)
