Sequenz were the last Danish team to represent Denmark at an outdoor world championship, competing at Eloy 2022. There, they met the
last Austrian team to compete at an outdoor world championship, AerodynamiX.
Hey Halla have now confirmed their new top spot in Denmark after the two rounds that could be completed last month, finishing one point ahead of Supra. Supra are in their third year together and finished tied for second place with a 4-way team representing Denmark's military services. Austria's AerodynamiX won the national outdoor championship in 2025 but have not posted any scores since then. Neither Denmark nor Austria will be represented in Eloy next month.

Final Fire reclaimed the top spot in Austria in the absence of defending champions AerodynamiX. Original team members Elisabeth and Thomas Haber were back in action, together with Horst Scheiber, who joined Final Fire in 2015. Jakob Strauß, a Final Fire member since 2021, completed the lineup, with Martin Pail on camera.
Blue Wombats won the annual duel with Family Air this time. Family Air now have a complete family 4-way lineup, with father Reinhard Flatz and his three sons David, Simon and Thomas. Robert Schwendinger is filming the family affair. Final Fire represented Austria at Prostejov 2014 and Skydive Chicago 2016, following two outdoor world championships without Austrian participation in 2008 and 2010.
Denmark and Austria both had perfectly clean 4-way Open
Class participation records between 1985 and 2006, with Denmark's streak continuing all the way through 2016. The two countries then had identical participation records and duels at outdoor world championships between 2012 and 2024, competing at and missing the same events. They will match each other's records again this year, as neither Denmark nor Austria has a 4-way Open Class team registered by its national federation yet.
The next outdoor world championship in 2028 will provide the next opportunity for the two countries to make their comebacks, and it could include at least Denmark's Hey Halla. Austria's Family Air could become only the second team in history to compete at a world championship with a complete family lineup. Canada's family team Evolution (father Michel Lemay and brothers Martin, Vincent and Benoit) did exactly that at Maubeuge 2008, Menzelinsk 2010, and Dubai 2012.
