Did You Know...

... that Hey Hallå replace Sequenz as Denmark's national 4-way team?

Sequenz lineup in 2021
posted May 25th, 2026 - Denmark's 4-way team Hey Hallå was still competing in the A Class when they first faced the national 4-way Open Class team Sequenz at the national outdoor championship in July 2021. Sequenz was founded in 2007, and one original member, Ulrik Høgsberg, was still part of the lineup at the indoor championship in November last year, alongside Flemming Borup Andersen, Hans Oksen and Peter Stræde.

Sequenz took a nine-year break following the end of the 2010 season before returning in 2019 with two original members, Vibeke Birk Tideman and Ulrik Høgsberg. The team still had unfinished business, as Sequenz had not secured a national 4-way title during its initial four-year run from 2007 to 2010.

It took two more years before the new lineup claimed its first national 4-way title in 2021, now featuring former Norwegian competitor Kjetil Nordin and camera flyer Anders Krabbenhøft. They lost the title a year later to Denmark's CISM team, but still represented Denmark at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022. Denmark had maintained an uninterrupted presence at FAI Outdoor World Championships since 1985, a streak that was broken when no Danish 4-way Open Class team attended Australia 2018 or Tanay 2020. Sequenz restored Denmark’s presence in Eloy 2022 before the country was again absent from the competition at Crystal Coast 2024.

Hey Hallå lineup in 2021
In the meantime, Hey Hallå steadily climbed the 4-way rankings in Denmark. The lineup changed several times before original members Kirsten Jürgensen, Henrik Pontoppidan and Martin W Olsen advanced to the AA Class, where they spent only one season together with Mads Blomgren and Danish video legend Anders Krabbenhøft on camera.

A year later, the team was ready for the full dive pool with all its complexities, and the name Hey Hallå appeared for the first time on the Danish AAA Class leaderboard in August 2022. The new lineup, still featuring three members from the 2020 team (Kirsten Mahncke, Henrik Pontoppidan and Mads Blomgren) together with Lina Kunth-Winterfeldt in 2023, and later current member Mie Jusjong in 2024 and 2025, began with a 2nd-place finish behind Sequenz and held that position through the most recent indoor and outdoor championships in 2025. The gap between the two teams gradually narrowed as their meet averages continued to improve consistently.

Hey Hallå posted a new team record average at last year’s national outdoor championship (12.8) and followed it up with the team’s highest indoor scoring average (17.6) in November. Sequenz still won both events, with Anders Krabbenhøft filming both teams at the outdoor competition.

Sequenz - Hey Hallå at the Danish Outdoor Nationals 2025
Sequenz at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2022
However, Hey Hallå were surprised when Sequenz recently announced that they would not return to 4-way competition. By both official definition and their consistent results as the top-ranked team behind Sequenz in recent years, Hey Hallå now become Denmark’s new national 4-way Open Class team.

The unexpected news came at a time when Hey Hallå had no plans to represent Denmark at the FAI Outdoor World Championship 2026. After careful consideration, the team ultimately decided that the timing was not right and that the preparation period would be too short.

As a result, Denmark will once again miss the FAI Outdoor World Championship, which this year returns to the same venue where Sequenz last competed, Skydive Arizona in Eloy. Hey Hallå are now focusing on the 2027 competition schedule in hopes of finding an opportunity to represent Denmark at future FAI/ISC events. In the meantime, the new national team continues to train as much as time and financial resources allow, while the current lineup remains committed to maintaining the team’s steady progression. Above all, the members enjoy their time together, which provides the foundation for what could become an even more exciting future in their new role as Denmark’s national 4-way Open Class team.
