Did you know that Elsinore GT alumni re-connected on the June 23 meet weekend? posted: Jul 1st, 2019 The recently featured meet weekend and the leaderboard of the Texas Skydiving League was supposed to be combined with the second 2019 event of the Southern California Skydiving League, which fell victim to the weather situation on the west coast. The synchronized meets and the combined leaderboard of the NSL Network would have created an interesting and indirect reunion of four former team members.
Josh Hall, Arizona Airspeed 4-way world champion of 2012, organizes the Southern California Skydiving League, together with Cristina Olson. Steve Miller is judging the 4-way events of the Southern... (more)
Did you know that Perris Force and Phoenix XP will battle again with new lineups in 4-way Women? posted: Feb 17th, 2019 The NSL New reported recently that the U.S. national team in 4-way Women at the FAI World Meet 2018, Phoenix XP, is back with a new lineup and a new 2-year plan. The same update mentioned briefly that Perris Force, who had finished right behind Phoenix XP on USPA's 4-way Open Class leaderboard, is coming back with a new lineup for the 2019 season, as well.
Original Perris Fury member Christy Frikken is the leader and player coach for Perris Force. Her former team Perris Fury trained and competed between 2005 and 2011 and became one of the best 4-way teams in the world. Her team mate Josh Hall... (more)
Did you know that Paraclete XP8 won USPA 8-way gold for the first time? posted: Sep 27th, 2018 The 8-way competition at the USPA Nationals 2018 was more exciting than ever for an unfortunate reason.
The absence of the Golden Knights was caused by Hurricane Florence threatening the U.S. Army's headquarters in North Carolina. The Golden Knights, 8-way world champions of 2012, 2014 and 2016, would have won the USPA gold medals without any chance for other 8-way teams to get anywhere close. However, the new situation at the national championships allowed three teams to go after the 1st place in the 8-way competition this year, and two of them were eligible for USPA medals.

Did you know that Seattle Swift this time won the second 1-point USPA battle in two years? posted: Sep 18th, 2018 The Advanced Class competition at the USPA Nationals 2018 was almost as exciting as the Intermediate Class battle for the bronze medals. Only a jump-off was missing to match the drama.
It was close, as Seattle Swift and Elsinore Elevate were separated by only one single point after Round 10. Winner Savage XP allowed another team to tie their highscores for a round only once and dominated the Advanced Class competition just as much as Arizona Airspeed in the Open Class.
In fact, Kirk Verner's team would have finished in 6th place of the Open Class leaderboard with the new 17.4 Advanced Class... (more)
Did you know that Airspeed Odyssey and Mass Defiance were on the same leaderboard in 2006? posted: Sep 17th, 2018 Arizona Airspeed's current signature lineup, the U.S. national team in 4-way Open, did not have any serious opposition and won the USPA Nationals 2018 with a record margin, as the NSL News explained yesterday.
Airspeed Odyssey moved up from 4th place in 2017 to the bronze medal position last week, which created Airspeed's next USPA double-medal success after the same finish in 1st and 3rd place in 2001. However, Airspeed Odyssey had to work hard to win the bronze medals. Defiance was only three points behind after a very strong finish.
The duel between the two teams consisted of two very... (more)
Did you know that original Perris Fury members Christy Frikken and Josh Hall battled last weekend in Elsinore? posted: Aug 21st, 2018 Last weekend's 4-way meets brought together AAA Class teams from three different locations. Four teams competed at Skydive Perris (Southerm California), while Seattle Swift (Northwest) and SDC Jetstream Tango XP (Midwest) performed their six rounds on their own home turf at the respective league meets this month.
In fact, Seattle Swift and SDC Jetstream XP both completed more than only the six meet rounds for additional competition practice. Seattle Swift made it through Round 9 last weekend, and Jetstream Tango went beyond the ten rounds and posted even a scoring number for the extra round.
However,... (more)
