News Article Did you know that Shannon Pilcher expects his own 4-way world record to be broken?
posted: Aug 1st, 2010 No scores yet for the audience at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010, even though the teams are already in the air for Round 2. However, the judges are in the middle of Round 1, and it shouldn't take too long for the first complete numbers for a round. It looked like Arizona Airspeed and NMP-PCH Hayabusa had a good start, as there was a 22 on the Omniskore screen for Airspeed and a 21 for Hayabusa. The other top contenders have not been judged yet. In the meantime, the NSL News met with Shannon Pilcher in the morning and before the teams boarded the plane for Round 1. This... (more)

posted: Jul 31st, 2010 The last two NSL Talk sessions with Arizona Airspeed and Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge were not the last actions of the day at the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2010. Hopefully, there will be enough time, as the first competition jumps will keep everybody busy. The... (more)
News Article Did you know that the last NSL Talk of the day features Arizona Airspeed and Aerodyne Cypres Maubeuge?
posted: Jul 31st, 2010 The NSL Talk session with Arizona Airspeed was taking place under challenging conditions. The defending 4-way world champions were ready to make the last training jump before the start of the competition. The last jump before a meet is meaningful, and nobody knew when the boarding call would come. The Airspeed members took it easy, and their experience surely helped in such a situation. They accepted the NSL News invitation and met with Joey Jones as the anchor of the NSL-TV show. It became even more challenging when the NSL News went back in time to the World Meet 2008 in Maubeuge, France. Airspeed... (more)
News Article Did you know that the dropzone in Menzelinsk got very busy Saturday afternoon?
posted: Jul 31st, 2010 The NSL-TV camera went on another little DZ tour after the NSL Talk with Eric Heinsheimer, Lena and Joey Jones. There were still busy training activities. It was easier to get the last group in front of the camera, as nobody was jumping. Everybody was busy, as Joey Jones is coaching the Swedish female 4-way team and helps NMP-PCH Hayabusa whenever he is needed. Lena Jones is packing for many competitors, and Eric Heinsheimer was in judging training on Saturday. However, the NSL News was hoping to get the top teams for some NSL Talk for a few minutes, and it actually worked out. Saturday... (more)
News Article Did you know that a very special NSL Talk group went back to the World Cup 1998?
posted: Jul 31st, 2010 It all happened by coincidence. The NSL News invited a new group for the next NSL Talk. Eric Heinsheimer, Lena and Joey Jones accepted it and met with the NSL News on Saturday afternoon. The group had something very special in common, which was discovered ad hoc during the conversation. The topic was actually the Swedish female 4-way team that the NSL News had introduced earlier. Joey Jones had sent a correction note by e-mail and added that the Swedish female lineup of 1998 was the winner of the very first competition in the new female category. In fact, Lena Bostrom was a team member of... (more)
News Article Did you know that the NSL News discussed the world meet competition with Gary Smith and Bert Hajee?
posted: Jul 31st, 2010 It is also time for the first NSL Talk, live from Menzelinsk. The NSL News has set up the camera for upcoming conversations in the middle of the dropzone. This brings some kind of additional live atmosphere to the coverage. The first guests of the first NSL Talk were Gary Smith and Bert Hajee, coach and alternate of the Dutch national team Dynamic Fource. The conversation began with the logistics and the weather situation. Gary Smith mentioned that the complaints about the hot temperatures are understandable. However, he reminded the NSL News that the last two world meets in 2006 and 2008... (more)
