News Article Did you know that the Pro Team wins in Finland with new member Tony Nyholm?
posted: Jul 21st, 2011 The future of Finland's national 4-way team, the Pro Team, was open after finishing as the unofficial Scandinavian champion at last year's World Championship of Formation Skydiving in Menzelinsk. The Pro Team had plans only until the world meet in Russia. This week, the team name appears again on the leaderboard of Finland's national championships, and the Pro Team is far ahead of all other teams in 1st place. News Article Did you know that there are more familiar team names on the CISM leaderboard?
posted: Jul 20th, 2011 While the audience expresses opposition to the recent USPA decision (see poll and forum of yesterday's story), the NSL News now goes back to the CISM Military World Championship 2011 in Brazil. The story on 18 July 2011 covered the female 4-way competition and mentioned that the male 4-way event offers more interesting news than expected. The leaderboard of the male 4-way competition shows better what the previous article tried to bring up. The German team is still in 2nd place after three rounds, five points ahead of the Golden Knights and only five points behind NMP-PCH Hayabusa. It is unthinkable... (more)
News Article Did you know that Arizona Airspeed is not eligible for the Dubai Championship 2011?
posted: Jul 19th, 2011 Yesterday's NSL News update from the CISM Championship in Brazil needed a correction. The teams in both 4-way events have actually 8-round meets, six qualification rounds, plus semifinals and finals. The Golden Knights are only the winner after the qualification rounds in the female category, and Fenix still has work to do in two more rounds to defend the bronze medal position. In the meantime, this year's Dubai Championship has created some waves in the US 4-way community. posted: Jul 18th, 2011 The CISM Military World Championship 2011 in Brazil offers very interesting information and great surprises in the 4-way Formation Skydiving events. The six qualification rounds in the female 4-way competition have been completed, and the Golden Knights are winning with a 24.3 average. The teams in both 4-way events have 8-round meets, and two rounds have been completed for the teams in the male event so far. The military CISM rules separate the male and female competitors more consequently, even in the Formation Skydiving events. It is no surprise that NMP-PCH Hayabusa is in 1st place... (more)
News Article Did you know that the British weather struck the latest UKSL meet once again?
posted: Jul 18th, 2011 NSL News correspondent in Great Britain and Kaizen member Jo Hawley reports on last weekend’s third meet of the United Kingdom Skydiving League (UKSL) and looks ahead to the World Cup 2011 and the UK Nationals 2011. With only four weeks to go till the UK Nationals 2011, the Hibaldstow UKSL meet saw a record 32 teams take part in a wet and windy competition. Planes circled looking for holes in the clouds while competitors tried to hold their nerve. News Article Did you know that the French B-Teams seem to be glued to each other?
posted: Jul 17th, 2011 This weekend's overall leaderboard is already the largest one of the 2011 season, and it is far from being complete. The scores from Great Britain, France and the Netherlands alone combine for for a total of 52 teams. The UK teams are once again competing in all four categories and have the major share of team names on the overall leaderboard.
