News Article Did you know that the 8-way teams are ready for their battle in Germany?
posted: Sep 1st, 2023 The first NSL News update from the German Outdoor Nationals included a conversation with the national team in 4-way Open, Airbus Illertissen Oceanside. It took place after the first three rounds were completed. Airbus had launched the next competition a few days after Round 10 at the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving with an impressive and promising 19-pointer for a sequence (H,11,1) with two average blocks and a random formation. They followed up with 26 points for the fastest sequence in the draw and 22 for Round 3. The door was open for a potential 20+ average. The competition... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airbus Illertissen Oceanside talk about their Norway experiences?
posted: Aug 31st, 2023 The weather in Germany has been almost a copy of the weather in Norway at the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving. However, the Fallschirmsportzentrum (FSZ) Saar is operated by some of the most experienced event managers in the sport, the Bastuck family. Markus Bastuck, who is still active and will compete with 8-way team Operation Adler at Germany's national outdoor championships, was managing the operation of the two FSZ Cessna Caravans that were flying at Skydive Voss for the outdoor world cup, is now working together with his father Helmut Bastuck on home turf in Germany. His mother... (more)

posted: Aug 30th, 2023 The next transition of the NSL News was the journey from Norway to Germany, where the Fallsdchirmsportzentrum Saar (FSZ Saar) is hosting the national outdoor championship. 26 teams in the 4-way event are ready to jump from the same Cessna Caravans that were lifting the competitors of the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving to jump altitude, as well. The two German national teams, Airbus Illertissen Oceanside and Meltemi Oceanside, will defend their 4-way titles and the status as Germany's national teams in 4-way Open (Airbus) and 4-way Women (Meltemi) for the next outdoor world championship... News Article Did you know that Airbus and Amnesya had a European showdown for the FAI bronze medals?
posted: Aug 28th, 2023 The actual World Cup part of the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving did not offer much of battles for medals on the top of the leaderboards for the three horizontal events. NMP PCH HayaBusa's start into the competition was compromised by the late arrival and Jeroen Nollet's missing equipment. The Belgians had finally warmed up enough at half-time and then competed head-to-head with France. However, it was too late to challenge France for the silver medals. GKXP8, Qatar Falcons and Prison 9 had no serious opposition in 8-way in their respective medal positions. It was the same situation... (more)
News Article Did you know that the current Airspeed lineup has not lost an outdoor round since October 2021?
posted: Aug 26th, 2023 Everything is said and done at the FAI Outdoor World Cup 2023, even though the NSL News aftermath of the event will on on for months. It was impressive how meet director Carl-Erik Tuv and his staff managed the weather situation and how the participants cooperated under the challenging circumstances. All scheduled rounds were completed in all events in the later morning of Saturday, and rain came back soon after the conclusion. Teams and competitors even had extra time before the closing and awards ceremony on Saturday evening. Arizona Airspeed, winner of the traditionally largest event of world... (more)
News Article Did you know that Whitefish had two goals for the long trip to Norway?
posted: Aug 25th, 2023 The weather hold has continued for the whole Friday, however, all teams are still on stand-by in the afternoon. It's one of the most challenging situations in Formation Skydiving competition that cannot be trained well before attending a major event. It will be interesting to see how the teams will master the next round under these conditions. The days are long in Scandinavia, and there are still several hours of daylight available. However, there are other purposes at an event like this one. The Fun Flag had another very busy day, which does not seem to be over yet. The host is supporting the... (more)
