News Article Did you know that Cheetahs and Lions had their own travel agenda?
posted: Sep 8th, 2023 The next aftermath event was the British 4-way outdoor championship, which was completed last weekend, at the same time when the German 8-way teams battled for the top spot in their event. The British 8-way teams will follow up on the September 16 weekend. The Qatar Falcons transitioned from Norway to Germany, as the NSL News reported yesterday, while the two farm teams, Cheetahs and Lions, had their own and different travel agenda. They could have met again the two German national 4-way teams, Airbus Illertissen Oceanside (4-way Open) and Meltemi Oceanside (4-way Women), who just returned from... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Qatar Formation Skydiving delegation split up after leaving Norway?
posted: Sep 8th, 2023 The aftermath of the 23rd FAI World Cup of Formation Skydiving will take a little while, and it is different compared to other FAI outdoor events in the past. There is more than only the traditional aftermath this year, which usually evaluates the results of any event as carefully as possible. The outdoor competition at Skydive Voss was scheduled relatively early in the calendar year, which changes the relationship between the most relevant annual international events (world championship - world cup) and the national championships for the teams in the participating countries. Many of the... (more)
News Article Did you know that the ICL teams at Hurricane Factory and iFLY Dallas generate their point totals in different ways?
posted: Sep 7th, 2023 The events of the Indoor Cloud League have continued through the outdoor season, naturally without the same attention and participation that they enjoy during the indoor season. However, especially the teams at the Hurricane Factory in Prague, iFLY Dallas and Paraclete XP have continued with their events, even though not all scores and videos have been posted yet. Jan Klapka in the Czech Republic can always get back to the 4-way juniors in the summer, when the Czech 4-way seniors are not very active in the Hurricane Factory. He is already ahead of all other ICL teams, with scores and videos... (more)
News Article Did you know that Operation Adler won German 8-way battle in Round 8?
posted: Sep 4th, 2023 The 8-way Open Class teams German Outdoor Nationals completed all ten rounds, even though the Sunday was supposed to be only a weather day. However, the national championships were the qualification event for the next outdoor world meet at the same time, and the situation in 8-way Open was close enough after Round 7 to follow through with the three missing rounds. Operation Adler were only two points ahead of Airbus Illertissen Oceanside after Round 7, and the outcome was still wide open. Operation Adler had the better start in the first two rounds and protected the 2-point lead carefully, even... (more)
News Article Did you know that Airbus 8-way and Operation Adler battle as hard as expected?
posted: Sep 2nd, 2023 The 4-way competition of the German Outdoor Nationals reached conclusion after Round 8, even though the Rookie Class teams may still have a chance to complete more rounds. Meet director Helmut Bastuck finally had to begin with the 8-way competition, with only two more days left for the event. Most of the 4-way competitors were involved with the 8-way event, as well, and only the 4-way Rookie Class had no overlapping. The 8-way coverage by the NSL News began with NSL Live Talk. The weather situation on Friday allowed neither 4-way nor 8-way for most of the day. The 8-way teams had their competition... (more)
News Article Did you know that Michele Silvi is leaving NMP PCH HayaBusa?
posted: Sep 1st, 2023 Shocking news came from Belgium earlier this week, and the NSL News live coverage of the German Outdoor Nationals has to be interrupted for a moment to digest the surprising update from the HayaBusa headquarters: "It's with great sadness that we see Mike go in search of new challenges. We as a team are forever grateful to him, for his jokes, ?coffee with no filter and most of all for his amazing capacities in 4way skydiving! We made some of best jumps ever with Mike, and because of him we could put all our names once again on the excalibur in 2021. Who knows where we would have ended with the... (more)
