Did you know that Thunder replaces disaster with glory? posted: Jun 19th, 2011 The NSL News story on 6 April 2011 reported a Thunder nightmare at the World Challenge 2011 when the opening round went south with a painful 13-pointer.
The Belgian/Dutch Thunder lineup reacted and recovered quickly. The team had worked its way back up to the 10th place at the end of the first day and never looked back after Round 6.
Thunder attended the first outdoor competition this weekend at the Tomscat Trophy 2011 and won with an impressive 20.1 average after eight rounds. The weather in the Netherlands allowed only the completion of eight rounds. The Thunder average would most likely... (more)
Did you know that Stefan Banic is the inventor of the parachute and the actual founder of the World Team? posted: Jun 17th, 2011 The NSL News gave one of the legends of Formation Skydiving competition, Jerry Bird, a lot of attention last year. It was no surprise that World Team leader BJ Worth was usually somehow a part of the same stories, as both spent quite some time together in the earlier years of Formation Skydiving competition.
BJ Worth organized the 50-way jumps at the 50-year anniversary of the unique high-altitude jump that Joseph Kittinger did in 1960. It was the same event in August in DeLand where former 8-way world champion Jerry Bird accepted the honor to represent the FS competitors in the National Skydiving... (more)

The story on 14 June 2011 announed the SDC Furies XP as the TEAM of the WEEKEND "even though the teams from the United Kingdom and Sweden have their own progression, as well, and some of the UK teams did really well compared to their previous results. The NSL News will take a closer look at those teams and the results later on".
It is not really possible to compare... (more)

Bardagi's six videos of the competition in Sweden were already uploaded earlier, thanks to FAI Judge Elisabet Pettersson.

Did you know that the SDC Furies XP are the TEAM of the WEEKEND? posted: Jun 14th, 2011 The NSL News mentioned on 11 June 2011 that the sequence of Round 8 would challenge Arizona Airspeed. It was probably the slowest sequence of last weekend's 10-round competition draw, as the SDC Rhythm XP (15) and SDC Furies XP (10) scores for Round 8 show.
The question remains open whether Airspeed would be able to score 21 points or higher for that sequence since the team had to quit after Round 7 to make the departure time for the flight home to Arizona. There will be another time when the same or a similar sequence will be drawn at a meet that Airspeed attends.
The last NSL-TV video of... (more)
