News Article Did you know that STF Wreckless saved the honors of the AA Class teams in Round 2?
posted: Jul 1st, 2011 It's time for the TEAM OF THE WEEKEND, and it is not easy to come up with the team that deserves special credit after last weekend's meets at four different locations. The SDC Furies XP with the new lineup tied the highest meet average in the team's long history and had the title earlier this month. The Czech Bad Boyz prove a great attitude with a new team member and have improved significantly from the first to the second meet. Rookie Class team Hvezdy posted high scores and beat the A Class 7-pointer in Round 3 with an 11-pointer for the identical sequence (K,O,M). Best of Relative's 9-pointer... (more)
News Article Did you know that STF Wreckless and STF VELO-X had the first live battle last weekend?
posted: Jun 30th, 2011 Last weekend's leaderboard included a very exciting competition at Skydive The Farm in Georgia. Three AA Class teams got together at the second meet of the Georgia Skydiving League this year, and the stakes were high, at least between two of the three teams. STF Wreckless and STF VELO-X have both been covered by the NSL News quite a few times. The lineups include current and former Georgia Tech students who have other GT alumni as their role models. The complete Genesis/PD Blue lineup originated from Georgia Tech, as well, and Shannon Pilcher and Ian Bobo eventually became 4-way world champions. GT... (more)
News Article Did you know that windtunnel training helped the MASL Rookie Class winners?
posted: Jun 29th, 2011 The MidAtlantic Skydiving League called the Cross Keys rookies to action once again last weekend. Experienced player coaches helped to form four lineups who completed between four and six rounds. The strongest MASL Rookie Class team, Dirty Slots, with player coach and former Air Pollution member Rob Fields, even made it to the 2nd place on last weekend's overall Rookie Class leaderboard with a 6.8 average after six rounds. Only the Czech team Hvezdy scored higher in its second Rookie Class year. MASL Director Dennis Miller reported that the weather at Cross Keys once again just barely held... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Bad Boyz enjoy the 4-way road with a new team member?
posted: Jun 28th, 2011 Last weekend's leaderboard includes six teams from the Czech Republic who all completed the 6-round meet. League Director Jan Klapka reported that there would have been two more teams if some competitors did not have to cancel due to health problems. The Czech Republic Skydiving League produced a new Rookie Class team with new 4-way competiors last year. Hvezdy came back in the Rookie Class at the seond meet in the Czech Republic this year and once again posted some impressive Rookie Class scores. News Article Did you know that the SDC Furies XP tied the team's highest meet average last weekend?
posted: Jun 27th, 2011 Last weekend's season opener of the Midwest Skydiving League was the second competition for the SDC Furies XP on home turf at Skydive Chicago. The Furies launched their 2011 season at the Shamrock Showdown 2011 and posted the next scores at the Midway Battle in Ottawa. The scores at the MWSL June meet last weekend brought the Furies back to the highest scoring level that the team has shown in its 9-year history. They finished the 6-round meet with a 15.5 average, which ties the 15.5 average that the Furies had posted at the MWSL September meet in 2009. The scoring progression of the 2011... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Final Four rear piece won a 2-way competition in Germany?
posted: Jun 26th, 2011 The first scores this weekend are not coming from one of the five 4-way meets across the globe. Germany is hosting the nationwide annual 2-way competition. National coach Mathias Maushake collects all information at his own Aerosport Fallschirmsport GmbH skydiving center in Kassel where nine 2-way teams were posting scores for the 3-round meet. This event was introduced in 2007 and is open for everybody. German top competitors compete together with participants from the grassroot level in all kind of different combinations.
