News Article Did you know that XL had a power failure in Round 2?
posted: Feb 4th, 2012 Arizona Airspeed is making a statement so far at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012. The 4way teams are done for today, the remaining two rounds are scheduled for tomorrow morning. Airspeed has a 20-point lead in 1st place over XL, who is the strongest opponent in Raeford this weekend. The USPA 2012 champion has won each single round so far and delivers a very strong performance. It might be a message to France and Belgium before the Shamrock Showdown 2012... The Golden Knights Gold, with the same lineup of the USPA Nationals 2011, are further ahead of SDC Rhythm XP than in November... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Black team won the Golden Knights competition in Round 1?
posted: Feb 4th, 2012 The competition at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012 is now in full swing. Judy Celaya, Jim Rees and Randy Connell have their hands full to get the scores posted. It is just as difficult for the NSL News to keep up with the pace of an indoor competition where no planes have to get to jump altitude. The Round 1 numbers are on the scoreboard now, and the scores for Round 2 will follow very soon, while the teams are preapring for their Round 4. The first video on Saturday features Round 1, filmed with the NSL Reality TV camera from the up close and personal video angle. The Golden... (more)
News Article Did you know that Will Pesek went from camera to VFS 4way to traditional 4way?
posted: Feb 4th, 2012 The next NSL Reality TV clip shows Tim D'Annunzio welcoming the teams to the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012 and then handing over to Kirk Verner for the competition draw. It was a live draw in front of the crowd, and the teams went straight to work afterwards. The 4way teams compete in two categories. Kirk Verner explained that the AA Class is actually more like the Advanced Class at the USPA Nationals, as it has the same sequences. He just wanted to give the "amateur teams" a separate leaderboard. The 8way teams are all flying the same draw and are on the same leaderboard. The NSL-TV... (more)
News Article Did you know that NSL-TV features Paraclete XP8 celebrities up close and personal on Friday evening?
posted: Feb 3rd, 2012 The NSL News has moved to Raeford in North Carolina for the next three days for the live coverage of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012. Friday was a training day, and the competition draw concluded the agenda. Most of the teams were done with the warmup flying, and the NSL Reality TV camera captured only Paraclete XP8 with a training session at the end of the day. XP8 has a very colorful lineup, and the footage features some of the team members in action, including one of the audience's favorites, Johnnie Eagle. XL members Andy Delk and Brian Johnson are flying once again for Tim... (more)
News Article Did you know that Just4Fun is actually very competitive?
posted: Feb 2nd, 2012 The field of teams for the World Challenge 2012 has grown by 33 teams since the NSL News posted the first preview of this year's event on 9 January 2012 and brings it dangerously close to the record number of 2011. A total number of 63 teams competed last year at Bodyflight Bedford, and it is difficult to imagine that the current number of 59 teams will not be higher at the beginning of April. There seems to be a never ending growth of this indoor meet, as several new teams keep signing up while most of the previous attendants come back for the next event. The German national team Paratec-Saar,... (more)
News Article Did you know that the French 8way experts will once again observe the Golden Knights 8way action at Paraclete?
posted: Feb 1st, 2012 The Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012 includes another 8way competition. Nine teams attended this event last year and made it a real 8way competition, the first one in the windtunnel history. It was a limited dive pool, as all 8way formations and block maneuvers do not fit into the flight chamber. It was still amazing to see how much 8way can be done. However, as Ben Liston recommended to his indoor participants at the New Hampshire 4way event in a 12-foot chamber: "Knee pads encouraged, my teammate’s moms have extras if you don’t have your own..." The Golden Knights and Paraclete... (more)
