News Article Did you know that Kristen Johnson is the Tail for Perris Wicked?
posted: Feb 9th, 2012 The NSL News reported on 26 December 2011 that Christy Frikken and Hannah Betts were recruiting female 4way competitors for a new team project. An update of the World Challenge 2012 on 24 January 2012 revealed the names of the two chosen candidates who will compete for Perris Wicked: Christie Blomster and Kristen Johnson. The NSL News was interested in more information of the new members. Christy Frikken and Hannah Betts are well known in the Formation Skydiving community, and the December story provided enough information how they got together and eventually launched this new project. News Article Did you know that NSL-TV presents all ten Airspeed rounds at Paraclete?
posted: Feb 8th, 2012 NSL-TV has put together an eye candy for the audience and features all ten rounds of Arizona Airspeed at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012. It is arguably the best performance that this lineup has delivered so far, and it may also be the best performance in 4way history. The 30.0 average is not the highest result at a competition, neither indoor nor outdoor. The top averages at the World Challenge 2010 by Aerodyne Aerokart, XL and NMP-PCH Hayabusa (30.5 - 30.4 - 30.1) plus Hayabusa's 30.5 average at the World Challenge 2011 were higher. However, there was a major difference at those... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Czech Rookie Class teams keep pushing each other to higher levels?
posted: Feb 7th, 2012 Another much smaller indoor competition took place in the Czech Republic while the NSL News focused on the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012. Four teams used a Wednesday evening to complete ten rounds at Sportflight's Skydive Arena in Prague. Organizer Jan Klapka had proudly pointed out in December last year that all of his Rookie Class teams finally scored above 10-average at the last meet of the year in the Czech Republic. The goal of the 10-average scoring level became history with the turn of the year and will only become relevant again for brandnew Rookie Class lineups. The lowest... (more)
News Article Did you know that the Paraclete XP Indoor Championship coverage continues with reviews of Rounds 5 and 6?
posted: Feb 6th, 2012 The live coverage of the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012 is over, and the review begins. NSL-TV continues with the videos of Rounds 5 and 6 that feature the TOP 4 teams. The point deductions have also been added to the extended leaderboard, and it shows that SDC Rhythm XP suffered the most, while XL had only two busts while scoring 277 points. The video of Round 5 shows a sequence that must be one of the slowest in the history of 4way Formation Skydiving competition. The NSL News has covered this topic a few times related to the 20-point benchmark for a single round and also for the... (more)
News Article Did you know that the NSL News fended off a media takeover attempt by XL members?
posted: Feb 5th, 2012 Sunday morning at the Paraclete XP Indoor Championships 2012 began with a surprise for the NSL News after returning to the temporary office at Paraclete. XL members had taken over the NSL News operation. XL and NSL News were sharing the space during the competition, and especially computer expert Brian Johnson had his eyes on the NSL computer. He had some very special story ideas that he wanted to share with the NSL News audience. Fortunataly for the potential victims of his own planned news coverage the computer was well protected... However, any unusual postings or flaws could be caused... (more)
News Article Did you know that two members of the French 8way team of 1975 compete at Paraclete this weekend?
posted: Feb 4th, 2012 The videos of Rounds 3 and 4 are now available and show more of Arizona Airspeed's dominating performance. Round 3 was the peak of the Airspeed show-off where the leader won by six points over XL and Golden Knights Gold. That's more than a complete page, and even XL and US Army team members were wondering how that was possible. The two 4way leaderboards are actually more overlapping than it was expected. The leader of the AA Class would currently outscore two teams on the other leaderboard. All 4way teams are using the same competition draw, even though the second leaderboard indicates a... (more)
