News Article Did you know that Contrails posted a higher outdoor average last weekend than at the World Challenge 2012?
posted: Apr 23rd, 2012 The leaderboard of the World Challenge 2012 on the front page finally had to make place for new scores, which were generated last weekend at the season opener of the Florida Skydiving League 2012 season. However, one of the participating teams managed to have the team name once again on the current leaderboard. Contrails, one of the three national 4way project teams in Denmark, followed up with the first outdoor competition after the ten rounds in the Bodyflight Bedford flying chamber. Christian Gufler, Peter Stræde, Hans Oksen and Mads Jensen did not need their new team videographer Brian... (more)
News Article Did you know that the FSL Tunnel Kicker at iFLY Orlando begins to focus on outdoor meets?
posted: Apr 22nd, 2012 The April Tunnel Kicker of the Florida Skydiving League at iFLY Orlando took place on the Tuesday of the week when the World Challenge 2012 drew the best 4way tunnel teams in the world to Bodyflight Bedford in the United Kingdom. It did not hold back the newer generations of 4way competitors to attend the monthly event. Ari Perelman managed the FSL April Kicker, together with several other experienced coaches, and he also collected some footage for the NSL News this time. The April event was a part of the preparations for an upcoming indoor competition that iFLY Orlando had planned for later... (more)

posted: Apr 21st, 2012 The NSL News story on 25 February 2012 brought an update from Dubai before the two teams from the hosting site of the World Championship of Formation Skydiving 2012 launched their 2012 competition season. Former Arizona Airspeed world champions Eliana Rodriguez and Craig Girard have been working with the young two teams after moving to Dubai last year, in 4way as well as recently in 8way. The NSL News story was a preview of the Dubai Asaar visits at the Paraclete XP Outdoor Championship 2012 and the World Challenge 2012 at the same time. The first internal Dubai showdown this year took place... (more)
News Article Did you know that Zoe Bodtländer's name is now on the Fun Flag?
posted: Apr 20th, 2012 The NSL News has been quiet about the whereabouts of the Fun Flag for a long time, and there was a good reason for that. The last update with a funny story came from the World Cup 2011 on 4 August 2011. From then on and after a sad incident in Saarlouis the Fun Flag was not a topic for the NSL News any longer. A little girl was injured when the battle for the possession of the Fun Flag got out of control at the competition site, and the Fun Flag had lost its purpose. However, the NSL News used the time between the end of the 2011 season and the beginning of the new competition season to find... (more)
News Article Did you know that SDC Rhythm XP suffered the most penalties at the World Challenge 2012?
posted: Apr 19th, 2012 The extended leaderboard of the World Challenge 2012, which inludes the number of point deductions per round for each team, does not look pretty for the teams behind the TOP 3. XL is the only exception with a total of only three penalties. This makes XL actually the cleanest team of the TOP 10 this year. XL was in between two different scoring levels this year. The TOP 3 were too strong and too well trained, even for a pickup team of world class competitors, and there was not much competition for XL other than that. Arizona Airspeed in 3rd place was 22 points ahead of XL and SDC Rhythm XP 21... (more)
News Article Did you know that the 21.9 average fits perfectly into the Golden Knights progression chart?
posted: Apr 18th, 2012 The NSL News reported on 15 April 2012 how the currently two best 8way teams in the world, Aerodyne Maubeuge from France and Golden Knights, use 4way training and competition to make their 8way lineups become better and stronger. France still seems to have the upper hand with a view from the 4way angle. The NSL News now goes back to the real 8way competition and the view from the other side. The consistent progression of the Golden Knights in the last three years was documented by the NSL News on 10 December 2011. Former team captain Brian "BK" Krause had launched the new 8way project of the... (more)
